I'll be there on the 18th Nosebleed section 208 but I don't care, I'm there !!!!
I was hoping to get more of a responce...but anyway, who wants to meet up before the show? i'M THERE TOO!!!
I'll be going the 18th! Nosebleed seats, but at least I'm there! We were talking earlier in the thread about meeting up before the show. I think someone mentioned the "Souper Bowl". It's a local bar/restaurant that isn't too far from the CEC.

Ya , I remember...as long as all of us are "OF AGE" right!!

We are there on the 18th and 19th. Going to the soundcheck on the 18th, so we won't be able to do any meet up that night, but are good for the 19th.

It's a restaurant also, so I think that anyone should be able to get in, regardless of age.

I'll definitely be up for meeting at the Souper Bowl both nights. As long as someone gets there early to reserve a couple tables, because that place will fill up quick.

Welcome aboard Your daughter is sure to love the concert... and you will too! She's blessed to experience his show at such a young age! And no worries about it being too wild.. Paul crowds are family friendly yet MUCH fun!
-
Yes, Absolutely, Very Family Friendly! I saw him in 2002 and got a real warm feeling walking around before the show. EVERYBODY WAS HAPPY! I never was at a concert like that, where there were no troublemakers. All ages were there from 2 to 82.

I have been taking my son since he was 8. He always wants to see Sir Paul!! It's always been children friendly. See you all in Pittsburgh!!
-
Thank You all for kind words and making me feel welcome. I'm so excited for this concert. This is truly history in the making. We are sitting in Section 110 T , so I hope those seats are good ones and I hope I can take my camera. Haven't been to any concert for about 15 years! This one was well worth it. So glad everyone is as excited as me.

Back in 89 I took my then 8 year old daughter to see Paul at MSG. While there I got yelled at by some patrons who were smoking joints and whatever else and told that I had no right to bring a child to a rock concert. My daughter did ask me what that funny smell was, lol. 2 years ago in Quebec I was standing behind a family who took out all their drug gear and proceded to get high, stoned, or whatever with their teenage kids and friends. And this was about 10 people deep so we were pretty close to the stage. Most of the people around me were on something. But between that and the gallons of beer I've seen people consume at a show I guess the show itself is child friendly. But my daughter who is now 27 has seen Paul with me at least once on every tour he's done. And since I have 3 daughters, rather than take them all to one show, I go 3 times and take them one at a time. Works out well for me, lol. However this time I'm only making it myself to Pittsburgh so the streak may be ending.

3 daughters- bless your heart. I hope THAT doesn't happen to us in Pittsburgh. Ah, I remember those "particular" smells many moons ago. We took my daughter to a football game last season and I just couldn't believe the swearing (not to mention the drunkeness) around us. It was awful.

jlw44 I started taking my son in 2005. Most of the arena's starting around 2002 or so that I have gone to have been clamping down on what use to be a regularly accepted practice of getting high throughout the concert. I go to MSG pretty often and it still happens but it is the exception rather than the rule. I feel bad that you had that experience. I guess I have been lucky at the show's I attended.

I was going to the store when I heard "Maybe I'm amazed". My stomach was doing flip-flops. I started laughing to myself. Must be the Pre - Paul Jitters

I work for an outlet mall, as a Guest Services Manager, so my desk is located in an area I can hear our mall talk radio all day. We have a great station that plays a lot of Paul/Beatles/John/George/Ringo songs, about 2-per every hour...people are starting to get sick of hearing me say..oh a Paul song!!

LOL! I must have those Pre-Paul jitters too because I do the same when I'm out and hear his music! And I usually stop mid-conversation and say "IT'S A PAUL/BEATLE SONG!" Normal people just don't understand us.
