These are the fun times.. it's all very exciting! The countdowns are fun!! Once the ticket buying stress is out of the way, it's awesome!!!
No doubt! I am very excited to meet up with some of you boardies. I've never been to Pittsburgh before so you'll hafta give me some tips.

I have to fly in from FL, so depending on if announcements come from Pittsburgh or Philly I will be going to one or the other.

With the Philly announcement being "delayed" now for the past 2 weeks, is it possible that only one of these cities is getting a show? Maybe Paul is favoring Pittsburgh a whole lot more now because of the new arena and not being here since 1990.

I think he is favoring Pittsburgh more than Philly as well, hope if it comes to down to one it is Pittsburgh.
-
I'm a little surprised no more announcements were made this week...I hope this gets announced soon!
-
Either one..as long as I got a ticket...I'm there
-
I think he'll do both. Tickets go on sale Monday for SF and SLC, right? Maybe after people buy tickets for that, he'll announce the other shows (Philly and Pittsburgh)..You know, after everyone got their tickets to travel somewhere else, he'd announce dates closer to these people so they're tempted to go to those places also....would be pretty cheeky
-
A new week.. and still waiting for the announcement. I'm growing so tired of this... sigh*

To be fair to Paul, sounds like there are a lot of announcements in progress...its only the start of the week though so still hope

Agree. I haven't lost hope! I'm just getting extra antsy now because I realized my friends are getting married August 14th.. would be quite bad if the Pittsburgh show was August 14th!

Well, the White House concert was announced today, and supposedly that other concert in London will be announced tomorrow...maybe more will be announced tomorrow or Wednesday? He goes back on tour Thursday...usually, at least as it has appeared to me, he doesn't seem to announce new dates while he was on tour. ....I was thinking he would announce a lot more dates before he headed to Mexico...but I guess not..

Mellon Arena is trying to line up a huge act as well, for the final show. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10145/1060546-437.stm

Good find!! They ran a bit about this on KDKA this morning..I was pretty much half awake but I heard them mention the Beach Boys as a possible final act? This surprised me because I didn't even think the Beach Boys were still together. Wouldn't it just be Mike Love and some other guys? Regardless, at least the Post Gazette mentioned Paul for Consol Energy Center! I doubt he'll close the Mellon Arena too, but I wouldn't rule anything out.

I think with the Beach Boys it's everyone but Brian Wilson. Also how about this, they have John Stamos playing the drums right now. Unless they get Brian Wilson back with the group, that concert wouldn't be anything special. Plus I think they played the Pepsi Cola Roadhouse like 2 years ago and charged a fortune for only like 2 original members. Paul and the Mellon Arena, it could happen but highly unlikely because of what happened on the 1990 tour.

LOL bad memories. He needs a fresh start at a new venue. I wonder how the announcement of the closing act at the Igloo will affect the announcement of the opening act at CEC? Logically, you'd think they'd do the Mellon Arena announcement before the CEC...If that's the case, we may be waiting even longer. I hope I'm just overthinking this..
-
KDKA news at noon just mentioned the Beach Boys and Paul McCartney as possible Mellon Arena closing events.

US shows will be added to the tour in the coming days according to what we have at Maccablog. Can't say if it's Pittsburg or not, but at least it's a hope
