This has nothing to do with the Pittsburgh show, but read this article about what happened after Paul played in Mexico. http://www.comcast.net/music/blindedbythehype/13637/paulmccartneyattackedinmexico/
omg..Terrifying. I'm so glad they were ok, but I can't imagine how shaken up they were after this. WOW is all I can say to this..

Also hopefully this is still true. http://www.bonjovi.com/qa/qandas_with_bjm/q_dear_mr_obrien_and_bjm_please_please_please_answer_me_ive_asked_this_plenty_of_times_and_have_not_gotten_an_answer_yet_when_is_bon_jovi_coming_to_pittsburgh_pa__we_miss_our_boys_are_they_waiting_for_the_consol_energy_center_to_o

Presale for Nashville through Pauls site is simply nuts. It doesn't load and the presale on ticketmaster requires you to have an American Express card. This will suck for Pittsburgh because I don't own a American Express card.

Hmm, usually the presales on Paul's site work....I did it to get my tickets last year for FedEx Field. So hopefully if he is playing Pittsburgh it will work fine for us. The contest ends tonight at midnight, so I'm assuming the announcement will be tomorrow.

Many people on the Nashville thread are saying when they get into the tickets site, Nashville still isn't listed yet so the tickets part of the site is having problems right now. Better get that fixed for Pittsburgh. I'm also assuming the announcement is coming tomorrow. They are going to have a press conference for it. Since they are having a press conference, it has to be Paul.

Yeah, the contest has been advertised as "the contest will end once the press conference has been given," so I definitely think we are finding out one way or another tomorrow! I think its Paul, although Bon Jovi is still in the back of my mind as a possibility.....but I'm definitely leaning towards it being Paul, especially after a few weeks ago when Pittsburgh news was talking about him playing there and looking at the Consol Energy Center. The timing and everything seems so right, so lets hope its him!

More news on the announcement. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10153/1062532-388.stm

Noon tomorrow, great! Wow, sounds like he really thinks its Paul McCartney too. This is good.!
-
We all know it should definitely be Paul, but I just have this feeling in the back of my mind that it could still be Bon Jovi.

Yeah, thats my worry too. Suprisingly, Scott Mervis didn't even mention Bon Jovi in that article lol. I still think its Paul...but Bon Jovi is one possibility that still does worry me a bit.
-
I'm with you guys.. I really think it's Paul.. but the pessimist in me is still thinking it could be Bon Jovi. I'd never listen to him again, and I even like Bon Jovi.
-
Funny... Obama is in Pittsburgh today and flying straight back to Washington for Paul.

Yeah, but the whole thing about Paul coming to Pittsburgh on the news a few weeks ago really has me thinking this is him...it really sounded like he was really coming. And Scott Mervis of the Post-Gazette has been hinting it might be him for a while. Paul McCartney is definitely my guess for this, but I'm definitely not completely ruling out Bon Jovi either. We'll find out tomorrow! If it is Paul, I wonder if he'll also announce Philadelphia tomorrow too? I'm surprised that hasn't been announced yet. The Philly newspaper and Andre Gardner made it seem like it was pretty much official and just needs to be announced...
-
Maybe Pittsburgh will come out first tomorrow, then we'll see 1 or 2 more cities trickle in during the early evening hours like last time. Pittsburgh's soft rock station, Wish 99.7 (soft rock station) talked about it just a little while ago. And I didn't get to see this, but KDKA news at noon said the big announcement is coming tomorrow and they ONLY mentioned Paul McCartney... and said there will be 2 shows. This is what my grandmother just told me! This is looking good people!
-
I'm psyched for this...it's been almost a year since I saw him at CitiField on 7/21. I'm sooo ready to see him again!!!!! We'll find out tomorrow I hope.
-
Only thing that makes me even more nervous is the presale. The thing was a mess this morning on the Paul site for Nashville. Also the fact that ticketmaster runs a presale as well, only for American Express members.

Yeah, I'm nervous over the ticket sale too. I'm not sure how I feel about the layout of the presale on PM.com. I feel like it takes forever to scroll through the sections and look at the section locations on the venue map. I kind of prefer "best available"! I'm ticked because I don't have American Express anymore. I never got great seats through them, but at least I knew I had seats.. which for this show, is going to be a big challenge.

I definitely prefer the "best available" scenario. When I was fooling around with Nashville today I didn't care for the whole scrolling through the sections. I don't have AMEX either. American Express is just odd because almost no one has one and not many places take American Express. I even thought of the idea of signing up for one and just paying it all off at once.

Yeah, AMEX is even weird with their payments too because I think you have to pay it off every month. Were you watching KDKA just now? They ran another thing showing the Consol Energy Center and it said "McCARTNEY?" underneath its picture.. then they were saying "Will Paul McCartney open the new arena? ...find out tomorrow! Remember, you heard speculation here first when Paul Shumway speculated the new arena's opening show" Pretty much sounds like this is really happening. Then they went on to show Paul performing at the White House last night for the senators. Now we need to pray for luck with tickets... exciting but more trying of our nerves!
