The Good: Paul looked and sounded awesome! The sound quality in the new arena was good, kudos to Paul's sound engineers. This is the first time I could hear everything he was saying clearly and without echo/distortion. Not that I don't have his "script" memorized already! Although he did talk about his guitars and Les Paul a bit, which I have never heard him do before. The new center was great and they were right when they said there wasn't a bad seat in the place. We were in section 213, row B and even tho we were high up, we still had a good view. I also liked the openness of the arena too. I was a bit disappointed that Paul didn't call me up onstage and sing "Michelle" to me, but I still enjoyed the show! Highlights for me included: Two of Us, Highway, Paperback Writer and Mrs. Vanderbilt. The Bad: This was the lamest crowd I have ever seen at a Paul show. NOT ONE PERSON in our section stood up and danced or even stood up at all. And looking around the center it didn't look like ANYONE was standing or dancing except for people on the floor. As soon as Paul came out I jumped up and started screaming and felt like an idiot because everyone else just sat there. I stood and danced for several songs by myself and thank goodness no one complained. When we were leaving and older gentleman that was sitting behind us with his wife said he was enjoying watching me dance and enjoy myself. I wish I would have known that earlier - I would have danced every song! The Ugly: Some lady standing in line a the merch both accused my sister of stealing a shirt! She was really loud and obnoxious about it and made my sister feel awful. What happened was, my sister and I were at two different merch booths on the phone with each other. She bought her shirt and then got in line again to save a space for me. I got to the booth and got in line and then my sister stood off to the side and waited for me. This woman saw my sister and started going off on her. She was like "I just saw you standing in line and now you're over there with that shirt. What did you do steal it?" She just kept going on and on, it was awful. I'm not sure what this woman's problem was, my sister was mortified that someone would accuse her of that and was really upset. Once Paul came on, she did have a great time however! All in all it was not my favorite Paul show, but it was still an AWESOME TIME! It was nice to be able to drive right from my house to the show!
I agree 100 percent. Last night the crowd was more into it than the first night and Paul noticed.

It was the happiest moment of my life. I still can't think of the proper words to express how I feel. I'm just so unbelievably, thoroughly happy. Alvita Congratulations Alvita and welcome to the board!!! Your tat looks great! My husband and I saw you on the screen earlier in the evening and commented on how pretty you were and how much we liked your shirt! Did you buy or make that shirt? Thank you! I'm still reeling from the moment. Every time I tell a friend or relative or stranger what happened I get shaky and start to cry. I wonder if that will ever fade? Probably not! I did make the shirt myself! I always looked around for cool Beatles or Wings shirts and never found exactly what I was looking for until one day I just decided to make them exactly how I wanted them. That was a t shirt until last Monday. I didn't really know exactly where I wanted him to sign. So, I I decided that if my wildest dreams actually came true, I'd let Paul decide where he thought it would look best, and he did! I cut the shirt into a tube top because I wanted Paul to be able to have a clear view to decide where he wanted to sign! He picked a beautiful spot, but I guess I am a little biased ) I'm not gonna lie, I was extremely jealous and I was the one who screamed NOoooooo when you walked up there. lol I saw you walking up outside after the non drive by, I was the one walking away in tears because I had lost 1st row seats and didn't see Paul at the drive by ( . I'm glad for you tho, I hope someday it's my turn. I want the same shoulder because I have a Beatles tattoo occupying the other one. wink And I did LOVE your shirt! I gotta make me something similar...

I wish you the best of luck and I hope one day you get to meet him! I had given up hope and was just enjoying the amazing show when one of Paul's guys came and found me during the last song of the 2nd encore, so you never know what might happen!

Good, I'm glad you didn't hear me! D I'm glad you were having such a good time at the show and you got the surprise of a lifetime!! Maybe someday we will end up next to each other front row at a show!! There's no way he'll miss me if I'm standing with you! Our massive amounts of curly hair (yours dark, mine light)together should be a great marker! D I bet we'd tear it up! wink

Or it could've been the fact that everyone else was sitting down and clapping politely and my friend and I were going wild! It's Paul McCartney, how can you not? I would love to be in the front row with you! He'd definitely notice a curly-haired tag team. And there's nothing better than seeing Paul surrounded by people who love the man and are willing to dance, sing, laugh and cry about it!

I was up in 115 and was holding the fort along with my friend, on the dancing front. Everybody else was WEAK!! Oh he'd notice us, I have no doubt!! I was TEARING.IT. UP. last night from 2nd row and it was cracking Brian and Rusty up and I got Paul once or twice. Any sense of shame I have goes right out the window at a Paul concert! lol

People in our section were pointing us out to other people because we were crying, dancing, screaming etc! I remember after Hey Jude, the guy in front of us nudged his wife to look at us as epic tears poured from our eyes. We were front row last summer in Atlanta and we were definitely CRAZY. Paul looked over at us a few times at least! Probably standing out with my big hair again haha. Paul even looked at me, nodded, and then imitated my dance move during Let Me Roll It! At one point, a camera man got in front of me and blocked my view of Paul at the piano (right in front of me!). The security guard ended up telling the camera man to move because he was afraid I was going to jump the rail and ambush him or something! I just don't understand how people don't freak out! It's not something I can control!

Once Again what a great show!! Paul was late for sound check and they were suppose to open the doors by 600, so i thought we would get a shorter sound check. Instead he played for an hour or so and I was told by the people working the sound check that the doors would be opening later when Paul was finished. The sound at this new arena was excellent, and as usual Paul's voice sounded great! Congratulations Alvita!! Keep the pictures coming!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while but my laptop battey died. It was an awesome two night experience as others have attested to! I wanted to do the drivc-up thing but I don't handle the heat well so I just stopped by briefly and heard the announcement that Paul was running late and also met a guy who claimed that Paul had been there since 1 pm. I arrived late on Thursday so missed out then as well. I will try to post a few pics.

went to the first show , also found it quite lame that no one was standing so i managed to sneak down onto the floor and get about 10 rows back amazing performance, still freaking out!

I was there on the 18th. It was my only show of this tour. I looked around and it was so cool to see so many people up singing and dancing and having such a glorious time. For those who remained seated, their enthusiasm was seen as well by their constant head bobbing and hand tapping. No one who was seated behind anyone who was up and dancing complained to the dancers in our section. Everyone just seemed genuinely happy to be there. The joy was palpable. I feel transformed and don't think that this joy will ever leave me. How blessed we are to have seen such a master.
