I'll be there the day before, I have a room.

If you've got a local Big Lots there are tons of glowstick items there.
-
crazygina18, can you think of any good places to meet that are close to the CEC? The only places I can think of are the Souper Bowl and Sammy's. Those are both a couple of blocks away. I know there are plans to develop that whole area, but I doubt they will get anything put in there before August....

Thanks! Will check out Big Lots. They sell things very cheap too!

Target also has $1 bins where they often have glow sticks. I also recommend Dollar Tree and Big Lots. I bet Wal-Mart has some too.

I saw green at all those places, but could not find pink. I did not try Big Lots, it is way on the other side of town and pain to get to!

I was wondering the same thing. I'm not too familiar with anything around the arena, as we're usually just in and out of that area and go eat somewhere else..I'm more familiar with the North Shore. But I think the Bigelow Grille is down town and about a 5-10 minute walk away. I've never eaten there and not sure what the prices are even like. It's just a restaurant I remember passing that isn't too far from the arena. There may be something closer. I heard they were putting a Primanti Brother's inside the arena, but I doubt the public can access that before the arena opens its doors for events.

I've never eaten at the Bigelow Grille either, but it looks like it's more of an upscale restaurant as opposed to a bar. We could always tailgate in the parking lot.....

I saw the ones online for pm site and I can afford an $89 ticket. But I wonder if there will be any of those for the general public sale? Or I MIGHT be able to get a $188 ticket but I don't know yet.

The Souper Bowl is a cool near by bar. I drank and ate there before I saw Bruce back in May. It's very close to the new arena, walking distance for sure. http://www.thesouperbowl.com/bars/bspro.cfm?id=1457

The general on sale is going to be crazy. I suggest you either go to your local ticketmaster to get tickets or even try calling, because trying to get them online through ticketmaster is going to be a tough challenge and you may luck out on a ticket. Your chances are much higher by doing what I suggested in the beginning.

I know I'll be really upset if I can't even get a ticket because then i'll have to wait for Paul to come here to Ohio then. I think there is a ticket master in my local grocery store by me but i don't know if they'll be selling Paul's concert ticket for Pittsburgh. I'd hate to wait till Monday to get a ticket. I'd really like to get a little closer up for this concert somewhere NOT on the upper deck like I was seven years ago.

I thought this sale was TERRIBLE. I bought tickets for Charlotte and had no problem whatsoever - I could have bought from the Amex sale in TM, or the PM.com presale. No problem. Now for this Pittsburgh sale - I had the same set-up, 2 computers ready to go. Every time I went to TM (starting at 10:00 on the dot) it said "there are no tickets available" even though I knew from the Board that people were getting tickets there. I NEVER got a ticket selection on Ticketmaster, on the VIP package either. Then I went to PM.com and tried there. I FINALLY got to the screen that shows the ticket selection, but every time I clicked on a section (and I tried MANY different sections) it redirected me to Ticketmaster. So I felt like I was in a vicious loop. Luckily, my best Paul pal (Sunbeam on this board) got us front row tickets via the VIP route, so we are way excited about it, to say the least. But I was very distressed at my experience because if she had not been available to get the tickets, I would have been totally cut out. What a mess. I hope everyone who wanted to go to the Pittsburgh concert managed to get tickets. And I hope they add another Pittsburgh show, although I don't want to go through this stress again!!!
