Yazid Manou:
Check this out ! From January 29th, 1967, first venue of The Jimi Hendrix Experience in Saville Theatre. YM
Very cool! I didn't realize any photos existed of this show. This is the one Jimi played "Sgt. Pepper's" at, right?
-
Is that Mal Evans?

Another dream I have...watching that show while sitting with them having a drink...where is that commercial time travel? Hasn't it been invented yet or are we still just hunting dinosaurs?

Oddly enough, both of these are mentioned in a Ray Bradbury short story I had my students read a month ago...weird. Edit: Time travel and hunting dinosaurs, not drinking and the Beatles.

A Sound of Thunder. I was referencing that story. Bradbury is a main influence to my writing. He taught me all about what it means to be a little boy. At a science fiction dinner I used to go to, a friend said that most of the people at Woodstock and those other big 1960s concerts were time travelers who paid to see those shows. That got me thinking if Beatle concerts were inclued in that package. I wrote a novella about it with the line, 'Only we weren't hunting dinosaurs.' I called that my great literary reference.

There it is. I wasn't sure if I was reaching a bit too much by noting the connection to what your post was saying. One of the great hazards of teaching English is reading too much into everything, and constantly making literary connections.

I wanted to bump this thread back to the first page of the forum--it's a cool telegram, and the possibilities it presents are pretty impressive.
