The Paul McCartney Picture Thread
-
This is a photo Paul tweeted today and I have been looking for it for a long time. This was 1971 when they first set off as Wings to tour the Universities.

Loved seeing the photo in front of the truck, because their families are with them. Little Mary looks so cute! And is that Heather next to her, or maybe Denny Seiwell's daughter?
I think this photo was taken around 1973, but not sure...
-
Yes, that is Heather, front and center. Linda would have been pregnant with Stella then as well.

Photo dates from Tuesday 8th February 1972. Denny Seiwell's wife Monique is holding Stella. Two guys to the left are the roadies,Trevor Jones and Ian Horne, although I can't remember who is who.

There must be another photo I’m thinking of from 1971.Kestrel wrote:

Thanks, Kestrel. Didn’t realize it was later. And thought Monique was holding her and Denny’s baby. (Met them both in 2014 at a Beatles 5-day thing in Riviera Maya, Mexico and had lunch with them - they are both so nice!)

Lucky you. Denny S always struck me as being a nice down to earth guy.

That's wonderful you got to meet them, Nancy! He does seem very down to earth. He was interviewed a year or two ago on the "Things We Said Today" radio program, and talked about how difficult the decision was for him to leave Wings, but he said he and Paul still keep in touch every so often when he's in LA.
This is the radio program, was a great interview with Denny (begins at 1:27 mark) Interesting the announcer pronounced his last name "Sigh-well" I was thinking it was "Soo-will"

He is! And he threw me 2 drumsticks - one for me and one for my friend Jennifer!

No, “Sigh-well” is correct (and how I always pronounced it) He has a cool necklace that is a drum key (tuner) Will try to find the close-up pic I took of him wearing it in 2014. I think it must be on my laptop.
P.S. At this same Beatles thing was Laurence Juber and Pete Best. It was at the Riviera Maya Hard Rock Hotel (all-inclusive) Have also talked to Steve Holley many times.

This must be because he looked like a million bucks!

Yeah, definitely!
This is Beatles money from "The Beatles Fun Kit" (a special issue of Dig Magazine in 1964).
Would be fun to have a whole stack of these (and Paul bill previously posted) and play Beatles poker or something!
Kind of small to see here, but on each piece of play money is written:
"This certifies that there is on deposit in the Treasury of the United States of Beatlemania a Treasure Named Paul McCartney [or one of the other Beatles names]. This Certificate is Illegal Tender for all debts, public and private. Or else. Issued in 1964 Against Our Better Judgment" and under each money's serial number is "Your [should be 'you're', lol] nuts if you think this is real money. What do you think we are, rich?"
