*THUD* is right... It's interesting because in the first photo it almost looks like that's just a sheet with Paul's picture on it, lol

Love this photo, and the caption is so sweet! He has a kind heart. Paul with Brian Wilson

Brian was born 2 days after Paul, same year!
Here’s one I had not seen before:

That's a nice photo, Nancy! I wonder if that was taken by a fan in London... looks like it's London anyway, the truck is driving on the opposite side of the street, lol
Speaking of Brian being born 2 days after Paul... As you probably know already, Paul's friend Ivan Vaughn, who was born in Liverpool on the exact day and year as him, is the one who introduced him to John Lennon. Ivan died of cancer I believe, close to the time Linda did (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and Paul wrote a poem about him which was in his book of poetry. I tried to find a photo of Ivan, I'm sure there's one out there of him.
Another photo of Paul with Brian Wilson and musicians after Brian's concert at the Greek Theatern LA, June 2001. (Photo by Lisa K. Berton) Paul has said that his favorite non-Beatles song is "God Only Knows" that Brian wrote for "Pet Sounds"

Ivan had Parkinson’s Disease, but he was reported to have died from heart failure on Aug. 16, 1993 at age 51. He was with Paul (and Tony Bramwell) in late June, 1968 in L.A. during Paul and Linda’s “naughty weekend.”
Google his name for pics of him older, but here is his bio:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Vaughan
They have his age at death listed wrong, but I don’t see a way to edit that area.
Speaking of The Beach Boys, when I met Carl Wilson in 1978, I told him God Only Knows was my favorite song of theirs. He told me, “Brian wrote that in 15 minutes!”

Thanks for the info about Ivan, Nancy! In his photo he looks like he could be a Beatle... or at least Paul's brother! lol
That is so cool you got to meet Carl Wilson, and that he told you Brian wrote "God Only Knows" in 15 minutes! lol
Of course, as you know, The Beatles would come to the studio at 8 in the morning, get a song in their head and work it out for a few hours, and then have it arranged for the first recording take by 10... they seemed to get songs finished rather quickly too!
