Syracuse, NY- Carrier Dome- Sept. 23rd, 2017- CONFIRMED
-
OK, these are my opinions only. Closest, without a doubt, is the Sheraton University. Mind you, SU is on a hill, so you'll still have to climb up, but it is adjacent to Marshall Street and is probably your best choice. Genesee Grande on E. Genesee St - probably a mile or so, but still within walking distance, not a bad choice. Renaissance Hotel - a bit further, through a sketchy area but not horrible, still walking distance for active people. Parkview Hotel - same as above. DOWNTOWN - Hotel Syracuse Marriott - newly renovated but downtown is pretty crappy, check w/hotel to see of they are running any shuttles SYRACUSE MARRIOTT COURTYARD - near what passes for cool night area in Armory Square. Quite a hike from SU. Lots of decent hotels in suburbs, recommend a car to get around. Easy parking in SU area, they are used to dealing with big crowds. Public transportation is pretty lame. Check with any hotel to see if transportation is available, but be prepared to get your own car. Uber is SUPPOSED to enter the market soon, but I wouldn't count on it. Locals are friendly and will help you out!

Is anyone familiar with the parking situation at the Carrier Dome? I know there was an option for purchasing a $20 parking pass when I purchased the ticket, but I turned that down. Are there other places to park within easy walking distance of the venue? And does anybody know what parking will cost if we don't get the $20 pass in advance? -Rubber Soul13

I've always found the best parking (around $20) off of East Adams St. heading east, just past the hospitals & South Crouse Ave. Get there early, tailgating is OK. Lots of parking available with bus shuttle at Skytop, but it's not within walking distance. Beware of parking on the street; unless you are truly legal, you WILL be towed. Traffic is well managed; lots of experience in exiting large #s of cars in and out of the university area. Best advice is to arrive early & tailgate or hang out in Marshall St. area before heading to the Dome. Have fun!

To be more specific, Skytop parking is NOT off East Adams St. but in outer University area with shuttle buses. I think E. Adams lots are more convenient, but arrive early. Hospital parking is also within hiking distance.

Looking very much forward to this concert! I've been taking a little bit of a break from the board to try to avoid spoilers, but I have viewed a few videos of some of the big songs from the recent concerts. His voice continues to sound great (even stronger than last summer in some cases)! -Rubber Soul13

Hello All, I am looking for three lower bowl (100s) tickets for the Syracuse Carrier Bowl concert on Sept. 23. Will take 2 tickets and then one later if I need to. I am guessing TM is holding back some regular priced tickets in order to get rid of the VIP tickets. Thank you.
-
For those still looking some excellent floor tickets have been showing up on TM today.
-
Thank you for the note about Syracuse tickets. I did pick up 1 floor ticket but I still need two side lower bowl tickets.

2 weeks away! CAN'T WAIT! Can anyone recommend places to eat around Syracuse University? Or possibly things to do before the concert? I heard that SU is hosting some kind of "McCartney Festival" with Beatles/Paul -themed performances, trivia, etc. -Rubber Soul13
-
I have a single Silver Hot Seat Ticket I'd love to sell for Syracuse if anyone is interested? Looking to sell for Face Value to a fan. -Don

There's a few places on Marshall Street right next to the university. One of them is Varsity Pizza. They serve pizza (obviously), but they have diner type food, too. If you're looking to venture a bit more Downtown (the area is called Armory Square), there's Pastabilities, and few other bars/restaurants. There's also another great place called Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. It's about 10 minutes or so by car, 45 by bus.
