Kapoo, I thought I was the only one so crazy for Magneto and Titanium Man!! I love this album and certainly hope it gets great reviews when the remaster is issued!
I loved this song back when V&M came out. I collected comic books and thought it was a great song I was only 10 at the time.

Its really like he took his standard pop song template, ie Smile Away or Hi Hi Hi etc. and tricked it out with cool comic book lyrics, works so well. they jam it. whats another cool songwrity thing Paul does in that song, which he does a lot actually, is bringing the music to a complete halt as the end of a phrase. just before Jimmy rips it. Paul's a great arranger, thats what that is.

Well I've been reading various Web reviews of WOA and, as usual for Paul's solo work, they are all over the map. I read one review that calls the songs "pedestrian" and the band's performance "workmanlike" and the next review praises the band's performance as "breaktaking" and says the live setting really strengthens the Wings songs. So I'm wondering: What do people think today's reviewers will think of this reissue? Up to now, the reviews of Paul's reissues have been largely positive (and the reviews for Ram were fantastic). Just curious: Do you think the WOA reissue will be the first one of Paul's reissues that gets more mixed reviews?
: Pedestrian and workmanlike. : That album is the McCartney/Laine/McCulloch/English/McCartney line up of Wings at their absolute prime. This album will get positive reviews just like the previous releases. Any mixed reviews will be for the lack of bonus audio content

Nice! Jimmy has that GREAT Wings Tshirt on! HINT HINT...I'd rather a Tshirt offer rather than a question. Does Paul have a diff Wings shirt on?

Paul & Denny look like they're both wearing colorful Wing shirts.

gratuitous pic, why not. I just feeling like talking about this impending WOA remaster so someone say something so I can over analyze it like I like to do
Well Kapoo analyse away Rockshow and this LP was my first Wings and the vinyl is now warped from overplaying it. I'm hoping he adds more live tracks to the re-issue...at the time WOA was rated the best live LP of the 70's...but what the reviewers say about it now.......I am concerned they will be very bad

Back in 76 those ten years really did seem like a very long time.......now ten years doesn't seem like nothing at all.

Wouldn't it be great if the Deluxe edition came with a vintage reproduction of a Wings T-shirt!
-
Denny Laine has been interviewed for part of this reissue.
