Please tell me this is not going to still be ?134 by the time its released. That's mega expensive , really want this - one of my favourite albums , but this is too much - especially when one batch of tracks is download only - why ?! may just have to opt for the standard 2 disc cd and vinyl...

Amazon US started out with the price at $150 and has dropped it now to $117 and change. So it is possible prices will continue to drop the closer we get to release day.

Hopefully MPL heard the fans and will at least include all the downloads as a bonus disc on a Best Buy or Target or Amazon or Barnes and Noble exclusive edition. And please remember gentlemen, if we're paying for a physical product, we want the music on a physical product, not downloads!

If this was 2010 or even five years ago I'd say Best Buy would be the choice source for such exclusives - but since I probably own more cd's than Best Buy stocks these days - I think those exclusives have flown. Best Buy is becoming a Circuit City with a shelf life of maybe 5-10 more years.

Hopefully if MPL did this they'd do it in places other than America too. I highly doubt it, though. It seems MPL have made a business decision and won't budge from that decision, despite the outcry.

Amazon charges tax, whereas Bull Moose doesn't (most states) so it's $5.10 cheaper where I live (6% tax) They only ship to U.S addresses though.

How finished do the versions sound, Bob?
-
That's tough one to answer, mainly because 7 of the 9 wound up being released by either Paul and Elvis and we know how the finished product came out after each no longer had the other's opinions. Several I feel could be released as is but others could benefit from added production. With that you have to take the gist of their disagreement, Paul wanted a synch sounding, modern production while Elvis envisioned a more raw, sparse sounding album. The finished products will definitely taint your opinion of the 1988 demos knowing how the fleshed out in the end. What I will say about the 1988 demos, the sound is simply spectacular. They are complete takes that are instrumentally and vocally error free. Paul singing "So Like Candy" and "Playboy to a Man" are the stars of the set for me. Why Paul did not release them is a head scratcher. Also nice to have a more formed "Tommy's Coming Home" and "Twenty Fine Fingers" PS, I hear no plans to put the other material to disk

And promotion has begun' digital pre-orders are up on Amazon, Itnues , Spotify and others with 2 pre-order songs from disk #2 available Plus an "In the Studio" Story feature on the main site
