^ When I wrote "I have it" I was referring to the DVD "In The World Tonight" that BJ was taking about. Like I told love2travel, you can get it through Amazon (secondary sellers) As far as I know it is a legit release. The DVD says MPL on it.
I understood that. I was referring to "all" of your dvds & asking if they were all legit copies or if you had many boots.

Oh, I see! I think I only have a couple bootleg VHS tapes (Let It Be for sure, but can't think of what else) All my DVDs are legit as far as I know.

What “Flaming Pie DVD” are you talking about BJ? I have seen video of him playing Calico Skies to Linda - is this what you’re thinking of?
Nancy,
As Kestrel mentioned, the DVD was actually called "In the World Tonight". If you don't have it, I would really suggest you try to get it. I loved the DVD and I know you love FP. It really could have been called...the making of Flaming Pie. You see Paul performing most of the great songs from the album. In particular, I loved Paul performing Little Willow, Calico Skies (as you mentioned) and Great Day. I'm sure you've seen Paul singing and dancing to "In the World Tonight" with the Boom box.
I can't believe I have never seen this In the World Tonite DVD!!! I need to get this, it looks Amazing!!!
I also LOVE Flaming Pie so that will be fantastic. I do also LOVE Back to de Egg up there with Flaming Pie so hopefully that will come soon too.
Does anyone think I can still find the 3 album Deluxe Set in that Peter Max art type box?! I wanted that one so bad when I got back on the internet, bit it was too late If anyone sees it somewhere would you Pleazzeee PM me? Thanks
Amazon has In The World Tonight DVD.
The other thing you mentioned - the 1971-1973 Box Set? Is this the one you mean? It is sold out here, where I originally got it. You might try eBay.
P.S. It contains eleven discs!
Thanks still trying to get this...

I guess nobody here has mentioned the Flaming Pie 5CD+2DVD boxed set yet, which will be released next July.

^ For real?!!!

Nancy...Just like all the other Macca Archive remasters, I will definitely buy the remastered original Flaming Pie CD as well as any Bonus CD package with extra songs, B-sides, live versions etc. that might accompany the original CD. Lately, Target has had good mini 2 CD packages for a real good price (about $20.) I loved the Mini 2 CD package that Target offered for the Red Rose Speedway reissue/remaster.
I will just have to see what Super Deluxe Flaming Pie packages they offer. I just thought that the Super Deluxe packages for Red Rose and Wildlife were way too expensive. Same thing with the Flowers in the Dirt super deluxe packages, but the 2 CD FITD Reissue package offered by Target was teriffic.

Are these at Target now? The mini 2 CD packages! That Flaming Pie deluxe set sounds amazing!! Looking forward to it! The one I'm also waiting for is Back to the Egg!!! I love that album so much

No. He was referring to other CDs. They don't even have any Flaming Pie regular CDs for sale.

According to the link above, the new Archive Remaster of Flaming Pie won't be released until July 2020. Once we get the full details of the various packages to be offered and the actual announcement with release date, we will then probably see what Target will be offering from the various packages. I'm sure this is negotiated with Target as we get closer to the Release Date. Looking forward to seeing what the product choices for FP will be. I'm just saying that at least in the US, the "Target" Mini 2 CD package for past Archive Releases have easily been the best VALUE (original remastered album plus an 2nd disc with extra songs). From my memory, the 2 CD package for Red Rose Speedway and Flowers in the Dirt were only about $20 and if you purchased in the 1st week they were like $15 or $16. when they were still at a special "Sale" Price. The "Full Deluxe" packages for FP (probably with at least one DVD, 3 or more CD's and book) will be much, much higher.
I think we will just have to wait a few months for the actual announcements from MPL and Paul's Official Website.

That's interesting, I don't remember seeing those at Target? I have bought most of Paul's album CD's from Target's. I think I might have bought ES at both Target and Walmart...one had a red elastic band and one has a green band. I don't remember seeing the mini 2 CD ones? Going to make myself a note to check this. Thank you!

I can appreciate that. Its a pretty strong 'pop' album and, from memory, I do like several tracks from it .Somedays, Calico Skies, Heaven On A Sunday, Souvenir and Little Willow all come to mind but its not an album that I play very often. Actually, I can't remember when I last played it. Probably a lot longer ago than I think.

When he says "mini CDs" he means the 2 CD ones for say Wings At the Speed Of Sound or ES in 2 CDs. (they only have vinyl now at Target - 2 LPs) Amazon has a much better selection and lower prices - $21.59 for ES 2 CD Explorer's Edition.

I was referring to the 2 CD (or mini packages as I called them) set when Paul and company has released a new Archive Remaster Release. There are usually several Deluxe packages offered for $200 plus dollars for each new Archive released. I would always like to have one of those deluxe sets but that is too much money for me. On top of that, I'm more interested in the extra songs that were not on the original album. That is where the mini Target packages have been very valuable for me personally. In these 2 CD Sets, one of the CD's is the original album being remastered which I definitely want and the other are extra songs not on the original CD. I'm also mostly a CD person. I play them a lot when I'm driving so I'm not so interested in the packages that include Vinyl, DVD's or the book. I'm mostly a music guy.
The 2 more recent 2 CD sets I've bought at Target (involving a new Archive release) was when the Flowers in the Dirt Archive was released in 2017. Again, I didn't buy any of the expenseve big packages for over $200, but Target had the 2 CD Set for less than $20. It contained the original FITD album remastered which I definitely wanted. The 2 CD was the Paul McCartney/Elvis Costello demos. The great thing is that you not only had different, stripped down alternative versions of some of the songs on the original album (My Brave Face, You Want Her Too, That Day is Done, Don't Be Careless Love) but you have a bunch of songs I'd had never heard before...Tommy's Coming Home, Twenty Five Fingers, So Like Candy, Playboy To a Man and a brand new version of The Lovers That Never Were that came out later on Off the Ground. I loved both CD's in this 2 Cd Set and played them equally many times in my car. And for less than $20..what a value.
The other 2 CD Archive Release I bought at Target was the Red Rose Speedway Archive special. I bought it for less than $20. The first CD was the remastered original Red Rose Speedway album which sounded great and was one of the things I wanted. The 2nd CD was all about extra songs not on the original Red Rose. This bonus CD was a real gem because it contained a whopping 18 extra tracks. I knew many of the songs but I never had them in a remastered CD. Tracks includined...Mary Had a Little Lamb, Little Woman Love, Hi Hi Hi, C-Moon, The Mess, Live and Let Die, I Lie Around, Night Out, Country Dreamer, Seaside Woman, Best Friend, Mama's Little Girl, I Would Only Smile, Tragedy, Thank You Darling, 1882, and Jazz Street. Again, I played both Discs equally in my car and like the Flowers in the Dirt 2 Cd Target package...what a value for less than $20.
That's the kind of package I hope Target offers in July 2020 when the Flaming Pie Archive is released. I'm looking for the remastered original album plus a 2nd CD that offers extra songs and/or alternate versions of original album songs.

If the "Daily Beatle" is correct and the FP Archive Release date is 7/24/20, I would think that we won't "get details" relative to the various packages offered until April or May. I can't wait that long!! Just getting the remastered FP is exciting enough for me. Like you, FP contained some of Paul's very best Solo songs.
