I found a link to an article about Brian playing bass with Paul http//www.startribune.com/stories/457/3237373.html Unfortunately, there are no photos attached. ( YoungGerl, how did you meet the band? *Grin* It was at the Four Seasons hotel in Seattle on October 19, just after I met and got Heather's autograph at the Bon Marche and just before the Tacoma Dome show. It was a great day. *Grin* My friends got some great pictures with Brian and with Rusty and Wix. The guys were checking out of the hotel, because they were leaving for...Sacramento? that night after the show. Paul snuck out through the basement, but we did see his limo leaving...unfortunately he didn't roll down his windows except for a minute when they were stopped at the light...sadly I was on the wrong side of the car. Great link, Oh Darling!

I briefly met Brian outside of the Cavern Club when Paul had the secret party on 5/31, just before the Liverpool gig. He was so accommodating, nice and friendly. I asked him if he would mind if I got a picture with him, and he acted like I was the first person who ever asked him that! He said so enthusiastically, "of course you can!" and he posed with his arm around me. Afterwards, I touched his face gently and told him how much I adore the band and that I think that are absolutely the BEST!!! He told me thank you so much and sounded so genuine! It was the next best thing from meeting Paul himself! By the way, Rusty passed by too but his girlfriend nearly pushed him in the door away from the fans... and I missed Abe because I was busy getting a drink!

Brian is a sweetheart. Nice one, JayJay. That's lovely. Did the photo come out well?

Taken from Startribune.com What a quote from Brian: One Monday last winter, L.A. guitarist Brian Ray received a phone call to hook up with a music producer. After a little conversation and a bit of playing, Ray was invited to a rehearsal that Friday -- with Paul McCartney. Two days later, Ray was playing his first gig ever as a bass player -- at the Super Bowl with millions watching. Afterward, McCartney, the world's most famous bassist, told Ray: "Welcome aboard." Ray turned to the other musicians and asked, "Did he just say what I think he said?" Yep, he confirmed in a chat with I.W. last week. Guess he passed the audition. (J.B.)

Yes, he was an absolute DOLL! The picture came out GREAT! I'm trying to eventually get it on my avator... As soon as I accomplish that, you'll see it!
-
No pressure, but we're all waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
YoungGerl, great story. How did your photos turn out? Are you willing to share? JayJay, I cannot wait to see your avator!!! Does your heart still pound just thinking about that night? Someone is actually trying to sell one of Brian's guitar picks on ebay Don't they know it's priceless?? http//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3538896074&category=33017 Also, Brian & Abe are working on a soundtrack for an upcoming film according to filmmakermagazine.com. "The Failures shot HD in L.A. in September with Nancy Schreiber (Shadow Magic) as d.p. and Chad Lindberg (October Sky, The Fast & the Furious) and Ashley Johnson (What Women Want) starring. Musicians Brian Ray and Abe Laboriel Jr. of Paul McCartney?s touring band are doing Failures?s score and will produce the soundtrack." Can't wait to hear it!!

Sadly, they're not my pictures to share, otherwise I would happily show them to people (and then there's that little matter of needing a scanner ). They're pictures of my friends with Wix & Rusty, and my friends with Brian. They just sent me copies of the pictures after I bugged them incessantly for them. In fact, they still owe me a picture of their new MINI... Well if Brian's guitar pick is priceless, why hasn't anyone bid on it? Only 7 hours left and it's still at the starting bid of $5! Makes me want to bid on it myself! *Grin* Sharon
