I'm still smiling as I recall the lyrics to "I Liked You Better When I Was Drinking".
That sounds like an interesting song Can't wait to hear them all !!!!!!!!!!!

He's a very clever writer. He's the "total package".

scottycatt:
Great photos, Sharon. I guess that little Kodak works pretty well. I'm going to have to buy a small digital camera. It's not practical for me to haul my professional gear through the door. Plus, it's hard to conceal about me person.
Make sure you get a small digital camera that doesn't use a bright green light to focus! Because of that, I can't take my camera to Paul's shows. (Not that I'd risk it anyway, because I don't want it taken away!)
-
I'd never risk more than a disposable camera at ANY concert. I wouldn't even risk that at Staples. The security people are very heavy-handed. They were even taking signs away from people if they noticed them during the entry screening. Oddly enough, Ringo's show at Universal Amphitheatre back in 2003 not only allowed cameras into the show, but they were selling them in the front lobby of the venue! Wish Paul would do that. I mean, with all the cell phone cameras people take in, what's the big difference? We're all going to buy the post-concert merchandise, anyway. (Well, many of us will.)
-
Thanks for posting those pictures, they turned out really good. I'm glad all of you had such a great time! I can't wait to hear MM now. I hope one day I get the chance to see a show! My sister-in-law attended a show and she was really impressed!

I have a friend who is a part-time usher at Staples Center...they have REALLY tight security. He told me that they have video cameras everywhere, so they know who has snuck a camera into the show. I think I can understand why Paul doesn't want cameras, though...the flashes can be blinding. I was at the Troubadour on Monday night and so many people were taking flash pictures that *I* was blinded here and there. I wonder if my bright green light is worse than a flash. They allowed cameras at the Ringo show I went to about a month ago at the El Rey...maybe that's why Ringo wears sunglasses indoors.

I like to think it's because Ringo is very fan-friendly. And you were at The Troubadour Monday night?? You're becoming the little Hollywood Hotspot Hopper, eh?? Who was playing??
-
Sharon, your photos turned out great! I hope to have some up here soon for everyone to see. That bright green light worked just fine, didn't it???
-
Dreamseer, it was great to meet you at the show! Can't wait to see your photos. And, if it's not too personal, what did Brian talk about with you guys after the show? I thought that was great that he spent so much time talking with you all. What a nice touch.

scottycatt:
Hello to everyone I met last Saturday night. I wish I'd met you guys sooner. You're all so nice!! A special big "THANKS" to Sharon (YoungGerl) for alerting me about the show. WOW! Brian really rocks -- LOUDLY!! And what a classy thing for him to do, in acknowledging his fans (some, by name) during his show. Even classier for him to come over and speak to us afterwards. I'll be a fan for life now. (As if I wasn't already. ) I'm still smiling as I recall the lyrics to "I Liked You Better When I Was Drinking".
Hi, scottycatt - it was fun, wasn't it, and it was lovely to meet you, too!! Brian was great..so glad you got to be there. . They were great lyrics. I liked all his lyrics A LOT. Oh, and the music. And the band. :
-
GREAT photos, Sharon. Thanks for posting them. You can see the detail in the strap on the red guitar quite well. I think I like the second photo best of all...I don't know why. It just has that x factor. The third one is kind of the classic 'Brian stance'. Thanks, again.

Scottycatt, it was such fun to meet you! We're getting to be quite the little "family" these days, aren't we? Maybe we'll all get together again soon! Hopefully I'll get some photos posted tonight. We got some pretty good ones. Sharon's turned out great, didn't they? Let's do it again! Who ever gets enough of listening to Brian's new tunes????

I entered in rustyanderson.com and it will let you view it in its old version - remember the chinese letters and the cool pics, and that great bio? try it and let me know what u think!! here's the link... http://www.archive.org/web/web.php Sue

I remember that site!! I haven't looked at it in ages. I remember Rusty's old site, too....it had a great q and a. I have a link to that somewhere, I think. I typed in pm.com and it brought up some of the old sites from the first US tour leg - the Driving US one. The links to clips aren't active any more which is such a shame as there is one entitled 'Backstage at Madison Square Gardens, meet the band'. Wonder if we can access that elsewhere...hmmmm. Great link, Sue. Thanks.
-
you are most welcome...have u recovered from your whirlwind tour of LA?? what else did you do while you were here in the States?

Dreamseer:
Brian's show really was fantastic....as usual!!!! Sorry it's taken so long to post any comments on it......takes a while to float back down to earth after a night like that!!! I've finally heard the songs enough times to be able to really concentrate on the lyrics. WOW! Wait until you get your hands on MM!!! You will all be blown away! Seems that Brian can tell quite a story with his lyrics! Not only is he a superb performer, he's a songwriter extraordinaire! November 1st is so far away!!! I can't wait to stick my headphones on my head and listen to every word and phrase. Great show, Brian! Rock on!
I cannot believe it's already been a week since Brian's show!! The band rocked The Gig and everyone had such a fantastic time!! If the show is any indication, Mondo Magneto is going to be a hit!!!
