Ronna, thanks for the tasty pictures. I hope Brian wears that same shirt on tour with Paul. He really looks great in it. Are the rest of you ladies going through withdrawals??? A very quiet thread lately.

Yes, withdrawal is a good description of it. You think the thread is quiet??? You should be at MY house!!! And, if you like these pics, check out the ones on Brian's forum.....they're different! Who knows? Maybe I'll post some more................

Would you like to see another one?

And, then there's this one.................................. What's left to say????

Sorry, I'm not as cool as Ronna and can't post different pics on each thread. So here they are for those who haven't seen them yet. http://www.geocities.com/younggerl/Brian1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/younggerl/Brian2.jpg

In case anyone hasn't read this: Brian Ray Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: When Brian Ray decided to record his first solo CD, he didn't have to look far for a supporting cast. The award winning songwriter for Smokey Robinson, guitarist and musical director for Etta James, now on tour as guitarist and bassist with Paul McCartney simply asked some of his mentors and friends to help him out. When he asked the legendary blues singer Etta James if she would sing with him on the CD her answer was simple - and immediate - "I'll do anything for Brian." Not surprising considering the bond the two had developed over the years Brian had spent as her musical director and guitarist. "She's family to me, really," he explains. The rest of the players were a few more of his best friends - Scott Shriner from Weezer, Davey Faragher from Elvis Costello's band, Abe Laboriel, Jr., Wix Wickens and Rusty Anderson from Paul McCartney's band all appear on the album with Brian. The collaborators? Oliver Lieber, Adam Cohen, Tonio K. The resulting album, Mondo Magneto, is filled with fresh, stylish songs whose lyrics and catchy melodies stay with you long after your first listening. It's a pop record that rocks and a rock record with pop radio sensibility. "What was really fun for me about making this album," Brian explains, "was that every person involved came into the studio and brought their own personality to the sessions. And that shows on the CD." Mondo Magneto will be released on November 1 on Whooray Records.

Well that would be great but you and 'spare time to chat' must feel like strangers at present!!

I just know that Kenji would feel so welcome if he could see all of your smiling faces... I know, what if someone had a group picture of a bunch of fans they could post? AND if you think Brian could join in the picture, that would be SO AWESOME! Do you think this could be a dream come true?!?!?! Come on, someone cough-up the goods .... we've been waiting soooo long.... Sue

Hello all, I know it?s been ages since I?ve posted. I?ve been really busy with work all summer and have been terrible about keeping in touch. I was at Brian?s show in LA on the 18th!!! I still can?t believe I was there and that I got to hear all [well, most] of his songs. He is amazing? so much talent. He rocks much louder and harder than I expected. He did 9 songs [I think] and out of the 9 there were about 5 that really stood out. I think I loved ?Anywhere But Home? the most ? it?s still stuck in my head. Soft Machine was another favourite. I also loved ?Vinyl?, ?Good For Nothing? and ?I Liked You Better? - that?s the drinking song that everyone has been talking about. It?s a fun song! The really cool thing about Brian?s music is that each song tells a story. I really can?t wait to hear the album. We're all in for a treat!! It was great to get together with so many people from here, too! Dawn, Sharon, Beverly, Ronna, Caroline, Diane, Lynn? Have I left out anyone?? I missed those of you that weren?t there. I hope you?re all lucky enough to see Brian live one day.

Nice post, Fiona. My sentiments exactly. It was wonderful to meet you in person. How cool it is to know that we're able to connect with others from all parts of the world, and actually MEET IN PERSON, all because of our love of music of Paul and Brian and Rusty.
