Brian's new Blog ....... My New Space & Other News Hey rock and rollers! Welcome to my super special brand spanking new MySpace page!! I want to give a big thanks to Fiona Dixon of Blue Cherry for the great job she did.. hope you all like it as much as I do! Shout oouuuuut! On another, more sombre note... Music just lost one of the good guys.. John Roden, Paul McCartney, Ozzie and AC/DC's on stage monitor mixer just left the building. He was diagnosed with cancer and died 3 weeks later. I want to take a moment to share with any of you who might have seen us play, a message from me to his wife on the day of his service.. If you saw me smiling a lot on tour, John Roden was one of the reasons why. Hello Noreen, It's me, Brian from Macca's band.... I just would like to send along my condolences to you and the family. I know it has been tough and I know you are surrounded by the very best of friends at this time. Fortunately, good humour and a kind disposition spreads from person to person and your John had a lot of that to share. He was always smiling, always a gentleman, even when I flashed flagrant inane hand signals between notes, sung or played, flying his way in hopes that the sign was seen. I could just see the top of his head and glasses, between the side fills, off the stage sort of like Kilroy [of WW2 fame].. Every time, without fail he caught my signal and made it all OK. The thing that will always stick with me is that he would personally bring me a bracing, strong, kick-ass coffee straight from his funky archaic old espresso maker each day at soundcheck. Macca would come to the stage and say, "Hey, Brian.. just had your coffee, eh?" because it was coming out my pores in the form of doppio espresso sweat. I loved that guy... he was a superior person. He gave respect and got lots in return. He will be missed. Here's to John Roden!! Love, Brian Ray

Man, Brian Ray is just really cool. Love his new cd, that I just finally bought from Amazon. Really great stuff. I would love to see Brian and Paul co write a song together. A real good rocker.

Yeah it would. Been listening to Paul's new one and to Mondo Magneto, and I think they would make a really good combo for songwriting.

Brian's latest Blog ...... Summer of Love It was one of the coolest parties I've been to in a long, long while.. You know... parties in LA are like Starbucks, one on every corner... but this one was cool!! I was called by my good friend, Dave Kushner to join him, Matt Sorum and Scott Weiland [Velvet Revolver guys] in a sort of all-star private party band for the Rock and Revolution Jeans company. It was off the HOOOOK! They added my buddy Scott Shriner [Weezer] and Steve Jones [Sex Pistols] with Chris Cheney [Jane's Addiction] and Shannon Leto [30 Seconds to Mars..] We had one rehearsal to learn our set, the night before at Scott W's space and I thought it was gonna be a train wreck. But we all did our part and ba-ROUGHT it! We did the Beatles' "Revolution", "Sedated" by the Ramones, "Wish You Were Here" [Pink Floyd] "Slither" by Velvet Revolver and "Psycho Killer" [Talking Heads].. I had a B L A S T.. WE had a blast.. Steve Jones was standing right by me on stage making me laugh the whole time while the crowd in the sand danced in an ocean of fun and general debauchery. We played facing due west, to the sunset, the sand and the sea, to people who had been partying for 2 days and were clearly having more fun than is legal in this or any other state.. The whole thing was perfect. Scott W sang his ASS OFF the whole set, and it was treat to play for the first time onstage with Dave K and Scott S, my buddies!! Standing by Steve J when he took my spot to play some Pistols and Doors songs was fun.. my turn to distract him!! lol! Then we were led to the party house next door to chose some jeans and shades for this awesome company.. We all left feeling like this HAS to happen again soon before the Summer of Love gives way to the fall. Feelin' it, Brian

Brian Ray is very nice. He sent me a couple of emails and he even autographed his new cd for me. Great guy all around. I am going to order his new T-shirt he has on his website. Again, Brian is great and very people friendly and hope to one day meet him personally. Tom McDonnell Brookhaven, PA.
