Brian Ray Archived

I'm great thanks. The concert is on Saturday the 27th December. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! Was 'Birthday' in the show shown in the States?
-
Wow!! It was a great show with loads of Brian shots. He really rocked that night (but no tambourine on Birthday!!!!!). All the band seemed to having a fab time. I do like those baseball boots (that's what we call them over here anyway) he wears. He wore them when I was on the front row in Birmingham and now, every time I see a pair, I think 'Brian Ray'! Can you believe that there is a Brian guitar pick for sale on ebay!? Who'd sell it!?
-
beatlesrock, how are you??!!! Brian's shoes are similar to Converse basketball shoes. I think there is another name for them but cannot recall. Aren't they great? So glad that you loved the Moscow show. I wonder why the UK only had 1 hour of the special? "Birthday" was shown but no sign of Brian on tambourine in our version either. Was "She's leaving home" on the UK set list? I truly enjoyed the close ups with this song. Speaking of birthdays, if the information on this thread is correct then Jan 4th is Brian's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!!

Hi, Oh! Darling You can see Brian playing the old tambourine for a millisecond on a side shot of Rusty, Paul and Brian. We didn't have She's Leaving Home. That was, however, on the Back In The World show we had on back in April. It came across very well. There were loads of close ups in that too. Happy Birthday, Brian. It's Rusty's birthday on the 20th!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Brian! I saw you in concert with Paul McCartney in Denver in May 2002, stood in line next to your sister, brother-in-law and nephew waiting to get in the venue and saw your parents as they were on their way out of the venue! You are a very versatile musical talent! Great show! Keep Rocking! )

Hi everybody! Haven't been able to post for a while, but thought Brian's Birthday was a good time to get back in touch. Happy Birthday, Brian!

Is it OUR Brian who was part fo Farmer Not So John? Articles about the band say that he is from Durango, Colorado and that he's a bassist. Does anyone know? I can't find a picture to prove or disprove the idea!!

I'm not sure either, it's really confusing having 2 Brian Rays! I did read an article a while back that said the concert for New York with Paul was Brian's first gig as a bass player. I tried to find it again just now but couldn't, I'll have another go tomorrow. If this is true, it's possible that the Farmer No So John Brian is the other Brian and not our Brian (if you get my drift!). It was mentioned recently on another thread that Brian may have his own website soon, that might clear things up a little!!

Hi, Fiona Yes - I've read that article and it was a while ago. I think it said that it was the first time he'd played bass LIVE. Whilst doing Brian 'surf' last night, I came across yet another Brian Ray who was a guitarist and there was a photo of that one (not our guy - definitely and not the Crystal Lewis one either). It's just so confusing It was the Colorado thing that made me think there might be a link with FNSJ, but that's under some doubt now, isn't it!!!!! I think Brian should start a website just to clear all these debates up for us!!!! Or - on the Rusty birthday thread, send Rusty a message that says "Happy Birthday and ask Brian Ray to start a website, please!"

Good idea - too bad I already sent mine to Jeannette!! A third Brian Ray??? Now this is getting ridiculous. It's hard enough to find info on the guy without adding to the befuddlement!

Brian is going to be doing a webchat on Jorie's site soon, there isn't a date yet but here's the link to the info: http://www.xsorbit4.com/users/jorie/index.cgi?board=Announcements&action=display&num=1074190083

Thanks, Fiona. I hadn't come across that one yet. That should be brilliant. There's so many things to ask that I don't know what to start with! I wonder where the interviews will be posted. Yet another board to keep an eye on now! (PS - let's hope it's the right Brian!!!!)
-
This is GREAT news!! I do not have access to this site yet. Do we know when the webchat will be?

Hello!!!!! There's no date yet, but it says that there are interviews with Brian and Rusty to be posted before the webchat. I have absolutley no idea how to do webchats - I find them a bit scary to be honest. I clicked onto the webchat link but didn't really know what to do - I'll have to practise. This is a link to some kind of chat thing on Jorie's board: http://www.photos.mccartney.net/mchat.htm
-
Here's exactly what it says: It looks like Brian Ray will be available to chat in our Internet chat room very soon. I will post the date. Please try out the room to learn how it works so you will be able participate in the chat. The link to the chat room "The Macca-Chat Room is on the upper left side of the page here. Rusty Anderson will be the next guest to chat after Brian. I will be posting the interviews I've done with both Brian and Rusty prior to the Web chats. I presume it's the right Brian, if it's not somebody is seriously messing with our heads!!

I went into the chatroom after I heard about Rusty's chat and it all looked very confusing to be honest. I'm not sure if I was in there on my own or not, but if there was anybody else there I sure as hell couldn't find them!
-
Thanks for the info! I guess we'll need to practice a bit before the big day. Yeah, this is SO exciting!!!

Can you imagine! Here we all are, desperate to 'speak' to him for months and months and when we actually get the chance, we can't do it!!! Poor Brian will be sitting there wondering why no-one is asking him anything!
-
Why don't we arrange to meet there sometime the chat to get some practice in?
