Yes & I lover Her- too
Harley, i assembled YouTube videos from each song from the 31st, converted them all to mP4 and arranged them in order, adding three of the songs they didn't play from the previous night (couldn't find Got To Get You INto My Life over the weekend) and compiled the whole thing into a single iMovie. Of course it does not fit on a single DVD so i need to figure out how to break it up properly. But i thought it would be good to assuage my slight post concert blues and remind me/us what a fantastic night that was. I played it for my 80 year old dad on easter, and now he wants me to notify him if Paul comes to SF so he can go... I gently ribbed them for not being cool enough in 1976 and taking me to Wings over America at the Cow Palace.. when i was 11. They KNEW i was a Paul nut by that time.. what the heck, they took me to places like Tahiti and Ireland instead.

talking of guitars ..... http://voyageair.blogspot.com/2010/04/guitar-party-in-los-angeles_06.html

Last nite on American Idol being Lennon-McCartney nite, "we were talking" about the Paul show And when one of the contestants sang "All my loving" (not so well IMHO ) It was sooo cool to flash back at Beeray playing that juicy little solo on his Gretsch Double Anniversary guitar Without the Lennon machine gun rhythm and Harrison solo that song lost all its punch! Brian of course can handle all that great musicianship and still be one guy!! how does he DO it, be all super like that?? he should wear a CAPE! [size=7]ok maybe not

i love Scotland. I toured the country in 2000 with the Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers... drove a Transit rental van out of Glasgow airport and started in Ayr.. then to Oban, Portree/Skye, stayed at the Munroe clan home north of Inverness, a gig in Corrbridge, then to Braemar, Eccles, Maxton and ending up back in Glasgow for a concert in a church. I always wanted to tour the world in a rock band, throwing televisions out of windows and getting hammered and causing mayhem. On this tour i was limited to naps and blasting through the Cairngorms listening to some BBC hit radio station.
-
my dream at the time was that Paul would hear of an American scottish fiddle group passing through and be curious enough to show up at one of the gigs.. i could just see him appearing while we were playing Flowers of Edinburg or the Skye Boat Song..

bwahahah!!! Actually , the drive down the east coast was pretty neat too.. leaving Braemar we wound through the hills, and i remember going through a city that Lennon mentioned, Kircaldy?!?! Seeing signs for some WWII "Bunker" which piqued my curiosity.. We also stopped near an airbase and i watched Tornado airplanes in the landing pattern. went down by the shingly beach.. After the Maxton gig, i entertained the thought of blasting down to Liverpool, but we had a gig the next night in Glasgow and i had all the instruments. We settled for a short foray to the roman excavation, was that Corrbridge, and the city in Scotland Carrbridge? i'm confused. Gallyshiels, Peebles, Kelso... ah the memories...

i recorded all the shows and put this CD together after we returned home. You can hear snippets of the recordings here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/psf2

I wonder when Brian is going to post the next installment of his guitars' saga? I always wonder if he ships the guitars off to the tour or his tech, or how exactly are they transported? I know they must make it back home to him after the tours. Inquiring minds wanna know
