YoungGerl, thanks for the tips and the suggestions. I have made note of all of them. Don't think I'll make Disneyland on this trip, although you never can tell about me. My plans can change at a moment's notice. If you have any other ideas, feel free to send them on. I'll probably check the message board until Wednesday night. After that, I'll be headed to L.A.! What's the deal with Roscoe's Waffles & Chicken? We don't usually eat our chicken w/waffles in the south! And, yep, I'm about as Southern as they come. If any of y'all make a trip down this way, we can show you some real Southern hospitality.

LOVE this photo of Brian! He's so cute!! YoungGerl--excellent suggestions for LA! I'd forgotten about the location of Capital Records. Of course, it's not hard to miss whenever you are in the neighborhood. Harley Blues---are you willing to share your photos of Brian or plan to keep them a secret?? We'd love to see them. Dreamseer--have a great time in LA and tell us all about it whenever you return. Good luck with siting certain band members!!

Harleyblues, can your photos be scanned, then copied and pasted into this forum? Or are the photos digital? Beatlesrock-thanks for the link! Did you recognize Dreamseer's avator?

OH, YEAH! Did you ever see these photos? http://www.macca-central.com/MACCA-Gallery/ then go to the pictures of the band in Russia. There are 92 photos and they're all good. But skip ahead to pics 47-57 (warning....they're hot!!!). WOW!! Black is definitely Brian's color!!!

AHHHHHHH! They're terrific. I love numbers 53 and 57. Thanks so much. Rusty's a real stunner too - those eyes! Here's another http://groups.msn.com/RustyAndersonFanClub/stormsconcertphotos.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=120 He looks really cool!

If you click on this link and then select 'BACK IN THE WORLD 2003 Tourbook and then find number 8, it'll make you smile. http://www.macca-central.com/MACCA-Gallery/ I don't know if it was in the US Tourbook, but with you being a 'Lone Star Stater' you might not have seen pictures from the European Tourbook. Either way, it's got to be worth a look!

The first time I saw this photo of Brian...I couldn't believe it was him?!? He was really rockin'!! It was such a contrast to this photo: http://www.rustyanderson.com/photos_japan7.htm Oh, the many sides of Brian Ray!! Speaking of contrast...I actually have not seen the US Tourbook but I have seen the World book. I went to 2 US shows and 4 European shows (I just couldn't get enough!!). I hope to go again in 2004.

Yes - I've seen that photo. He looks very serene. I'm still on the lookout for another good one. I think they're few and far between.
-
This is going back a few years. http://univers.mylene-farmer.com/live/mt.htm I guess Brian & Abe have been playing together longer than we thought.
-
Thanks! Brilliant. I tried to find some Mylene Farmer websites, but I didn't get very far. I also searched for the other people he worked with, but all the websites seem to be French and my French is non-existent once you go beyond bonjour. Abe was the one who suggested Brian to Paul, I believe. Also, have you listened to his bass on Getting Better? It's amazing.
-
I heard that Abe suggested Brian for the tour as well. As for translation, go to http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com , where you can translate a whole webpage by putting its URL in the box (and select what language you want to translate to and from). UBL.com is a great site to see what people have played on and who they have played with...
