Tattoo signatures - yay or nay?

It was fun to watch! I laughed when he tipped you over. Ah, I bet that's something you'll never forget.

Congratulations Marta!! I saw Sarah get up on stage in Nashville and really was special to see!! Very happy for you!!

It's only getting old to a few people who see every show, either following him around or diligent Youtubing. It's a real crowd pleaser, Paul seems to enjoy it, and a few people get the huge thrill of having it done. It's fine to have it expected even if everyone starts to know about it from it hitting the general media. It makes for anticipation. It doesn't take long, but is fun to watch so I can't see any problem at all.
I've only seen four shows on this tour and only at Nashville was there a tattoo, so that generalization is also wrong. I also haven't watched the others on You Tube because I find it boring. It was exciting to watch Sarah, but I think Paul should have stopped with Audrey. I hope tonight's will be the last one.

Welcome Marta! Speaking for myself, one of the few and proud to have met Paul and gotten an autograph/tattoo, I'm happy that Paul has continued this practice. We're talking about 11 people that I've counted in the last year to get one of these souveniers, not thousands of people, and the typical fan at a concert isn't aware that this has become a tradition in the past month or two. They love it, and those of us who've had the chance to get close to Paul certainly love it too. Audrey is our tattoo president, but I'm a member of the sorority, and happy to be so. )

Marta, as someone else stated 'tramp stamp' is the name of the location. and the person only said it because they were jealous at how young and good you looked on film. I think he was afraid to sign the tube top because he was afraid her top might have a wardrobe malfunction when he pulled it down. Me? I wear a lot of backless outfits, so he can sign my back without me having to remove a stitch. (I always did want a tattoo on my back right shoulder. I just have a thousand ideas as to what and Paul's signature never occurred to me) My favorite was the hoffner. she already had that tattoo before she met Paul and it is very original. So, Marta, are you getting any work done around it? If I had Paul's name in a tramp stamp, I'd get a black border done around it or at least on both ends myself.

My husband joked that I should put a "frame" around it, but I'm just going to let it stand it stand on it's own. He even put a stray dot above the end of his name. I don't know if he was going to draw something but thought better of it or what but I told the tattoo guy to ink that as well. If Paul put it there, it was staying!

Congrats Marta, I was there that night and it was so amazing to watch!! Your very lucky! Do you mind if I ask where were your seats?

We were in Sect 123, Row 8. On the left side of the stage right by the roadies and where the band came off and on. Definitely not the best for viewing the show but as it turned out perfect for him to see my sign.

You guys might wanna post on Brian's wall that the Philly lady wasn't the first and only person to have this done. You guys deserve news coverage too!

I believe there has been a tattoo at every show *since* Nashville, however...

There wasn't one in Charlotte (which was the show after Nashville) as far as I'm aware. But - BarbB can confirm that.. There has been at least one every other show, though.
-
No, nobody got signed in Charlotte. I was the only one with a tattoo sign and he just waved.

Congrats Marta! Ya know maybe Macca is contributing to the poor economy...he's sure is giving all the tattoo parlours plenty of work & free advertising!

Hi Marta - welcome to the boards! It's a good place to get your Paul love out without annoying the crap out of everyone in your family. It's been said, but "tramp stamp" is just a reference to tattoos on the lower back. No harm meant by anyone! I will say, it was absolutely hilarious watching Sir Paul McCartney bend you over in front of him! ops: Glad you're here to share your story! Feel free to post every single detail - we all love reading them!! Sarah

well annoy them a little less anyways I think people at work are sick of hearing me say this is a Paul/Beatles/John/George/Ringo song as soon as I hear the first riff!
