Who is going to make the movie about Universal Peace in the future?! Can we never learn? We need more women producers and directors and screenwriters, to change the future. Write a movie portraying a more loving and peaceful future. A world without bigotry and hate, a world where there is no need to fight, all energy, water and food is available to all. No need to fight with your neighboring planets.
Someday we'll live in a world where people choose love. I'm not trying to quote Ringo, but that might be from one of his songs. But drama needs conflict. A movie about a Utopia where common decency trumps hate wouldn't have all the computer explosions that audiences need.
Saw the drama Lion, about the little boy who fell asleep on a train car at 5 years old...the train went 1500 miles and he wound up in an orphanage...getting adopted out by someone from another country. As an adult he tried to find his home. It was so well done. Can think of so many other good dramas. I would really love to see a movie where people have learned to live in peace...so people can start imagining what that would look like.

Saw Despicable Me 3 yesterday. Those minions are so creative & funny!

So I'm wondering about the new "Beguiled," which is garnering excellent reviews. Its director Sofia Coppola even won "Best Director" at Cannes! Didn't Clint Eastwood's character suffer his leg being amputated at the end of the original? To punish him, and so he couldn't leave the women there, or something? PLEASE don't tell how the remake ends. Thanks.
They didn't just cut his leg off as punishment, they killed him over jealous rivalry and buried his body where no one would find it. I don't know anything about the new version, but the 1970s version is very different for a Clint Eastwood movie. I would assume Sofia Coppola will tell it from the female characters' point of view rather than the male character.

That sounds more interesting than Avengers 18: Avenge of the Avenged. I should look it up.

Don't go see "House" --I had to walk out Got way too grossed out by this flick They should have edited. A lot. Some of it was funny, if you're in the mood for savage dark humor, but they went too far.

Took the kiddos to see Wonder Woman a few weeks ago, we all enjoyed it! On recent plane rides I watched the new live action Beauty And The Beast, Moana, and part of Rogue One.

I heard it was great, I'm going to have to take my girlfriend to see Wonder Woman! P.S. I was in love with Lynda Carter (The original Wonder Woman from the 1970's!)

That's the current trend. The outtakes of one of Will Ferrell's Anchorman movies include a long scene where he describes his "river of frothy ejaculate" and another scene where he uses a ching chong Chinese accent that even makes the director blurt out, "Good lord."

I have to be careful what I see, what I put in my head movie-wise--just certain scenes can make me feel bad about life for several days afterward

Saw Peter Pan & they made it into a bit of a musical. Was pleasantly surprised, it was quite good.

VALERIAN Here's that new Avatar and 5th Element like movie that is going to be released very soon... Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets Jul 21, 2017 (United States) ? Jul 26, 2017 (France)
Looks pretty cool! -
^ It looks really cool Steve, says its unlike any movie..going to see the 3D version... Thanks for posting the link! It's about Universal Peace, wow...that really should be good!!! Watched The Martian again with my new Blue Ray player

Thinking about seeing "Baby Driver" just because it reportedly boasts a lot of good music all through the movie (and Ansel Egbert). Despite its action/criminal activities type theme.

Looks pretty cool!Went to see Valerian last night in 3D and it was better than I even expected. The first part was a paradise planet right out of a Vladimir Kush painting...and it went from there.... The director was the same director from the 5th Element and Lucy, so you know you are in for a treat. I'm hoping to find it in 3D Imax and watch it again....so many layers. Cara Delevingne was excellent as the lead and Riannah payed a very beautiful shape shifting character. Quite a memorable scene Go see it!!! *****

I decided to wait and see "Baby Driver" on the small screen (via DVD)--I get the impression something really bad happens to Ansel Elgbort's character in the end, and I already had to see him perish in an awful way in "The Fault In Our Stars." Might be easier to take seeing on a small screen. Amy Schumer is filming an amusing-sounding comedy but reportedly it won't come out till June 2018--wish they'd hop to it, get these flicks out faster so she can make more movies--these actors need to strike while the iron is hot, while they're still popular hot properties--the film's plot involves Amy being hit hard in the head and after that she thinks she's incredibly gorgeous and goes prancing around extremely self-confident (LOL), sounds funny doesn't it. She's actually cute, has a cute baby face. But she's thinking she's the most beautiful woman in the world (LOL). Something like that.

Our kid is going to see Spider-Man Home Coming. So far, nothing much of interest for me.

A new romantic comedy "Only Living Boy in New York" out Aug. 11 looks promising, stars Pierce Brosnan, Kate Beckinsale, Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Nixon. Great cast. A popular and well-reviewed romantic comedy "The Big Sick" (don't like its title, though) is out now. "Girls Night" comedy with Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, now playing, is a hit, reviews call it hilarious. Rebel Wilson is filming a rom com called "Isn't It Romantic?" with fellow Aussie Liam Helmsworth, in N.Y.C. She's funny. He'll probably be a sparkling straight man for her. Movie stills show him looking quite amused by acting with her. As if they have chemistry.

It's a very realistic war movie ... that might be enough to change some the minds of some from attending. For those who dare otherwise, I suggest to get a little understanding of the history. Wikipedia - might almost be enough. It was before the U.S. entered into WWII ... Without knowing a fragment of the history, makes it otherwise hard to understand. I recommend the movie.
