QUOTE OF THE DAY
-
Mamby:
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that" -Martin Luther King, Jr
Thanx for sharing that quote Mamby. I feel the same.

"When real music comes to me--the music of the spheres, the music that surpasseth understanding---that has nothing to do with me, cause I'm just the channel. The only joy for me is for it to be given to me, and to transcribe it like a medium---those moments are what I live for." ----JOHN LENNON

"Architecture is "Frozen Music"....really, there is something to this; the tone of mind produced by architecture approaches the effect of music." ---Johann Wolgang von Goethe-- Speaking of which, my childhood playground was replete with beautiful architectural aspects...here it is in all it's splendour.. PROSPECT PARK....notice the fanciful names given the different meadows and vistas of the Park...so pretty! . http://video.nytimes.com/video/2006/05/11/travel/1194817094949/prospect-park.html
Here's another example of the great architecture that surrounded me as a child in Brooklyn...this was directly up the block from my home..just a hop, skip and a jump from PROSPECT PARK.. "Architecture is to make us know and remember who we are"..... http://www.nyc-architecture.com/PS/PS025.htm very beautiful there. Thanks for the journey Claudia.

"To him she seemed so seductive, so different from ordinary people, that he could not understand why no one was as disturbed as he by the clicking of her heels on the paving stones, why no one else's heart was wild with the breeze stirred by the sighs of her veils, why everyone did not go mad with the movements of her braid, the flight of her hands, the gold of her laughter. He had not missed a single one of her gestures, not one of the indications of her character, but he did not dare approach her for fear of destroying the spell". Gabriel Garcia Marquez
