GAS (gasoline!)
-
I wonder why Chicago is always the highest? Maybe the taxes. We are at $3.95-3.99. BOO!!!!
-
Where I live it averages around £1.35 per litre. You need to multiply that by 6.1933 to get the figure in US dollars per gallon, so that's: $8.36 STOP MOANING OVER THERE!
-
It costs a lot everywhere & anyone can moan when they need to. I couldn't afford to do my job if I had to pay over $8 a gallon here. It is different in diff countries. Maybe you don't need to drive for work, or your other costs may be lower, or your standard of living is diff. Some jobs I need to go on are 50 or more miles away.

Because of the rotten state of the economy & high cost of gas, many people have opted to take "Staycations" this summer. We always combine errands & other things to save gas.
-
Why hasn't natural gas been looked at MUCH MORE seriously here in the US? OMG...it would be so much cheaper. This is still crazy. We need to do something like this or we need to drill for our own oil more & more. Oil is on the way up....AGAIN.

I totally agree with you......gas prices are going to be way high...out of control. Start drilling I say.

sadly we never learn anything. :

Heading toward $5.00 a gallon in California the last couple weeks with no end in sight!

Such a rip off, but...what can we do?!

They're going to be shutting down 2 refineries in Philly & gas is going to be $4.25 a gallon or more.

Gasoline should be $ 2.00 a gallon U.S. . ...everywhere on earth

I spend -0- for gas. Moved to a walkable neighborhood with good public transport so I usually walk or ride my bike or use public transport for work. All my choice...I like to live a green low carbon life

Bravo! Everyone can't do that though. I need to drive to my clients locations with ladders & workers. Kinda hard to walk 75 miles with a heavy load. There can be more jobs if we build that pipeline & more oil!

Of course you must have figured out that the XL pipeline across the US and to refineries on the Gulf is meant to be loaded onto tankers and sent to other countries right?? There would be no other reason to ship it all across the US to the Gulf otherwise...just simple reasoning. And here is link to oil companies report to investors saying just that http://www.tarsandsaction.org/spread-the-word/key-facts-keystone-xl/ Also read how it would actually INCREASE GAS PRICES Also read at link how TransCanada grossly inflated job figures For anyone who believes the propaganda that the oil companies put out.. listen up I own a great bridge in NY that I'll be glad to sell you

Even if you don't drive ..... the cost of anything shipped .... groceries, products, services that have to tack on fee to cover fuel - just to break even ..... most people get hit .... the irritating thing is the changing of the goal posts .... it is hard to keep in a budget .... when everything changes daily (sometimes more a few times in the same day) ..... so whether you pay 3,4,5 ....6.....8 etc .... it is still how quick it goes up ....how much it goes up and how many times it goes up without having a chance to recover.

So true, prices are rising on most things that have a fossil fuel component including food. We knew this was going to happen..just a matter of time we have reached peak oil. All the low hanging fruit has been used up and now any fossil fuels we get out of the Earth takes a lot more energy and resources ..including water to make usable. The price it's costing us to extract oil is too high to pay...not just money but land degradation and high use of water. We need to transition to clean energy asap. We would create more clean long lasting jobs, save money and perhaps have a planet to live on in the future.

our gas is up to $3.99 a gallon.
-
@#$% !!!! j/k *(But I have thought it many times).

I still would like to find a way to make dog poop work like gasoline ..... I would be well supplied *(I do like my dog )
