Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

AndreMesquita:
"big news, and his followers wouldn't like it very much"
Are they cancelling the shows in Brazil as well? You have to be fockin kiddin' me!
walliebaby:
I know, but you've been able to travel relatively close (compared to Australia, anyway!) to see him. Not many near-Australia show, but yeah. Not good news for you, and that stinks.
Well, traveling close is a 2/3 hour plane flight to another country where they speak another language, it's not like I took the bus and got there in an hour

The concerts in Brazil have not been cancelled. Paul has hotel reservations in Belo Horizonte, and the stadium administration in that city has publicly stated that the concert will happen on May 03. That means the other ones will happen as well, he's not coming all the way to South America for just one concert.

He just posted that the shows around here may be cancelled. The politicians are screwing everything.

Indeed, but have you seen the latest tweet from jnflesch?

Yes, but I don't believe that guy. He always writes things after others have mentioned them. In fact, I had sent him a message about the concerts in Argentina being cancelled, and then started writing that the concerts in Brazil might not happen. Coincidence? I think not.

Let's hope so. I'm still waiting for the "announcement" about the shows tomorrow. If it doesn't happen, I might cancel all my reservations.

I haven't made any reservations yet, but if there is no announcement tomorrow I will not be worried. It might happen later in the week, or even next week.

I bet Paul's ex-wife is not feeling a lot of love from his fans in Argentina right now...

The problem is I can't wait for a confirmation forever, as there will be some penalty for the cancellation of the reservations and the ticket.

You can call the hotel and tell the manager that you are thinking of cancelling your reservation due to these rumours. Maybe he will give you some information to help you make a decision. Something like "don't worry, Paul is coming" or "it's true, his hotel reservation has been cancelled".

Basically, the Argentinean promoter "Time4Fun" confirmed negotiations fell out and Paul is not coming this year.

Yep, it looks like there's some legal crap going on with Heather Mills. Fans On The Run Change of plans?? Apparently Paul will not be touring the first half of 2013. So... Not Brazil, nor Argentina... More news to come

I asked the woman who announced that Paul will not perform in Argentina about the concerts in Brazil. She said she has no info. I see it as a good thing: if Paul had cancelled the whole South American tour, she would have been told. And the official Brazilian tour promoter would have announced the cancellation today as well.

Pretty good info. It seems Brazil is still on then. Carlos, please reply to your PMs

I have just replied to you and to someone else. I did not see a warning about PMs, there used to be one running across the screen.

Here we go! The first official announcement of the new tour, via Facebook:

Yup... Poland is rumoured about every year, and most of the time the only 'substantial' rumour which don't come true in the end. Let's hope it will be different this time around, but I'm not sure about June.
GUESS WHAT? http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2673636#2673636 Very glad for you guys!

Cool gig, It's been a while since we've had some actual news from the Paul
-
This is very surprising and exciting, though I am shocked about Argentina. I thought they were definitely getting some shows. I wonder what other places Paul will go to that he apparently has "never been before"! Surely 'Out There!' is quite a promising name. There's more annoucements to come in the next few weeks! Maybe after this tour Paul can do a 'Shows I Cancelled On' tour. By the way, is it normal for the website to announce shows NOT in chronological order?

" Paul has announced his first live date of 2013, which will be part of an all new tour called ?Out There!?. The tour will see Paul and his band travel the world throughout the year, even visiting some places they've never been before. Further announcements and dates will be added in the coming weeks so stay tuned to PaulMcCartney.com for updates and ticketing details. The 'Out There!' tour will feature music from one of the best loved catalogues in popular music. Paul will perform songs that span his entire career - as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle."
