Bob Gannon:
Sorry about that....no as far as I know...whatever is announced for Brazil is it. I live in US and wasn't thinking about Brazil..1st US show looks like it may be a double
I guess it is safe to say then that Las Cruces will not be the opener.

Bob also mentioned in this thread that the U.S. shows will begin long before Bonnaroo, and the Las Cruces gig is only a couple weeks before.

I think he said they would be split before and after Bonnaroo (and presumably following the European shows).

so when is a good time to visit Seattle, Bob?

Yes, beginning long before Bonnaroo. Sounds like right after the Brazil shows in early May.

He also said it would "zigzag," so I guess I won't try to speculate which show will be when, but it still is fun to try.

As a UK fan, and after the disappointment of no Christmas shows in the UK in 2012 I was definitely looking forward to all this promise of a whole new tour involving lots of dates and the release of the new album in spring/early summer. I thought that would have definitely meant Paul would play in the UK in the summer, perhaps while he performs the postponed Denmark shows... but did this happen? No. And that's disappointing... yet again. I don't know why I feel so bitter and upset by this. I think, as many of you will be able to relate to, I feel so passionately about Macca that it's really painful to see so many other people enjoy him... sometime several times within a short space of time... and it turns me into a very jealous, frustrated person! It's almost as if I can't function properly. Paul has limited touring years left and having to wait is sort of heartbreaking. I can't even begin to imagine how bad it is for fans in places like Australia and other countries that have had their hopes destroyed over and over. Hugs to you all.

What I think Paul's manager Scott Rodger is doing with the shows based on a youtube interview where he talks about bands not playing the same markets too often, is booking Paul's shows no where close together and also the one's that are 4-5 hours away from each other are a month apart. One one hand it's nice if you're in an area that's getting a few shows, you can see them with a few weeks break and really go all out and build up to them, plan with friends, etc. On the other hand, if you wanted to follow Paul on tour like I do/did, it's extremely difficult without buying expensive plane tickets to every show (no money for that). I hope/wish Seattle is close to Outside Lands, but I imagine Seattle will not be in August on purpose. Here's the interview with Paul's manager. He talks about managing Bjork (how he became a manager), volunteering to manage Arcade Fire for free (getting the real job weeks later) and how that good rep led to a cold call from Paul. It lengthy and interesting if you have the time. About an hour.

One of the classic rock stations in Indianapolis played Listen to What the Man Said...then started talking about how Paul was going to be on tour this summer! ...but said nothing about a rumored show here in Indy! Wish we had some good rumors going here with the announcement so soon. Maybe later shows aren't going to be announced for a while? I can't wait to see those official dates!

Being 5 hours away from Indianapolis in Madison, WI, I'm already planning on there being a show based on the fact that of the cities listed a few weeks back Paul was rumored to be playing, three of them have gotten the nod via newspapers and online leaks. I'm going to safely assume all those cities will get a show. Indianapolis was on the list. Likewise, a friend said that Minneapolis radio stations have been dropping hints of Paul playing, but Minneapolis wasn't on that list. Bob mentioned in the thread there was no reason to visit Minnesota this summer, so I'm guessing those list of cities is very accurate with maybe a couple more not on the list and/or a couple cities getting multiple shows as the U.S. is rumored to get around 20 shows between May and mid August. There were around 11 cities listed.

Beatlefan just reported very specific cities rumored for a US Tour(s) throughout May, June and, July. I say tours, because I can't imagine him doing all these at one time between May 9th and June 22nd with Bonnaroo in between. -Orlando, FL -Indinapolis, IN -Austin, TX -Tulsa, OK -Washington, DC -New York City, NY -Boston, MA -Las Cruces, NM -Milwaukee, WI -Seattle, WA -San Francisco, CA San Francisco has been mentioned here before. Perhaps it's that festival in August? There may be a late spring US leg with cities down the east coast leading to Bonnaroo. Then, there may be the cities in the Midwest/Southwest that will lead up to San Francisco Festival? That part is just my speculation. I just hope if anything turns out to be true, that the dates work. Graduation Day is May 31st and there are LOTS of busy and booked dates around that time for yours truly...
Sorry where did these dates get reported? I am intrigued by that Seattle date.
BeatleFan magazine's facebook site. They are very reliable. I wouldn't post this here if I didn't believe in it. The only matter they did not report too specifically was "when". Again, I think this would be acheived over two US legs, not one.
BUMP!

Well, most of us have to wait years between shows of Paul. However, you do have the option of seeing him this summer. The three European gigs can be reached by plane or train or bus (although that's probably a bit lengthy) from the UK. I assume there are cheap flights available to at least one of the locations. Obviously, I don't know your financial capabilities (then again, I'll be condemning myself to be broke for months to come for the Vienna concert - it's a matter of priorities) or whether there are timing obstacles (getting days off from work and stuff like that) but it is generally possible. So, maybe instead of being bitter just do something crazy. I can only recommend that.

^^^ I would if I had someone to go with. I have issues with travelling alone that are personal and I won't go into. No friends or family are Paul fans. If I did have someone to go with, I definitely would have gotten tickets. Three dates in one continent isn't enough considering how many US rumours there are floating around.

Thanks for showing me that. I didn't notice! Surely if there was definitely nothing planned he wouldn't have replied to me....? That's very interesting.
-
I have a strong feeling that if the album comes out this fall that there would be at least some shows that would support it. I'd be shocked if there wasn't at least one England show...Don't quote me, I have nothing to back it up just gut feeling...and if not...I really do think that the X-mas shows will be back. I was really disappointed as well! Loving going to the UK in December!!! Keeping my fingers crossed

Rumors don't mean anything until official announcements are made. So far, there is ONE official show in the USA this summer and it's a festival date. I am cautiously optimistic about a New Mexico show, but I will not get into full on celebration mode unless an official announcement confirms the concert.
-
I really hope that tweet from Brian might mean a UK show during the summer! the fact that he said "stay tuned" sounds as if it could be sooner than Christmas, but I guess we'll just have to see what concerts will be announced in the coming weeks!
-
My bet is that he will announce the US shows tomorrow. If not, then Monday.
