The Tulsa show in 2009 was announced 41 days beforehand. That is the shortest notice I can remember.

All of those '09 shows were very short notice. That's the only reason I went to Citi Field! Jumped right on the gun for them (probably about the same day I joined the board) then roughly a week later, Fedex Field is announced!

From what I read, the Stones are on board for 18 shows, doing multiple shows in one city. The Stones put on a very exciting show. They may not be your cup of tea, but they are one of the most dynamic live acts around.
They also mix up their setlist quite a bit.
That's true...but so many of the songs sounds the same...especially live...
The tens of thousands of fans who will go to their concerts don't care what you think. They sound the same to you because you are not a fan. As I once stated here, I am not a big Eric Clapton fan. Just not for me. But I respect that thousands enjoy his music and his concerts. I saw him once. That was enough for me! I have seen the Stones three times, and if they play New Mexico (they won't) I would go. And I CERTAINLY will go see McCartney if he plays New Mexico!!!

be nice... truthfully, the stones sound like crap last few tours maybe more than that.. I think ppl see them for the one thought -- "it's the Stones" legends..the casual fan.. MicK's vocals are so drowned out be production- back up singers & what not's .. they weren't great at 12-12-12 either~ they were brilliant back in the day...last time I had seen them 10 years plus...they were ok back than Now, Paul, him & the band don't need all that ..back up singers, over production & what nots you can hear Paul's voice although not flawless hiccups now & than.. he's still got it... some just truly do not have an ear for music~
-
Here's my qualm, considering their prices... -The Vocals sound absolutely awful. -They look like crap. (Dress, that is. Can't help age...) -The harmonies sound more like a screaming match. And that is all I achieved from the FIRST 2:25 of this video

You say people see the Stones because they are 'legends'. Isn't that what they say a lot about Paul too? They say that's why he plays all the Beatles songs...for the 1st timer. I'd say it's like that for any legend. They need to split the setlist up for the 1st timers & the seasoned veteran.

Not exactly. At least they created their own unique sound, that sounds good. 1962-1965-ish sound similiar. 1966-1972 are just....holy my goodness this is beautiful and new. 1977-now...kinda just trying to copy themselves...

lmao!~ : Beach Boy's songs don't sound the same... They have a distinct sound... there's a difference~

My point is that YOU said people see the stones because they are legends. People say the same about Paul with all the 1st timers going to see a Beatle. I said nothing about their voices.
-
point being the Stones aren't great live while Paul is & still has a voice.. & not hiding it by over production tis all...

Beatlefan just reported very specific cities rumored for a US Tour(s) throughout May, June and, July. I say tours, because I can't imagine him doing all these at one time between May 9th and June 22nd with Bonnaroo in between. -Orlando, FL -Indinapolis, IN -Austin, TX -Tulsa, OK -Washington, DC -New York City, NY -Boston, MA -Las Cruces, NM -Milwaukee, WI -Seattle, WA -San Francisco, CA San Francisco has been mentioned here before. Perhaps it's that festival in August? There may be a late spring US leg with cities down the east coast leading to Bonnaroo. Then, there may be the cities in the Midwest/Southwest that will lead up to San Francisco Festival? That part is just my speculation. I just hope if anything turns out to be true, that the dates work. Graduation Day is May 31st and there are LOTS of busy and booked dates around that time for yours truly...
Sorry where did these dates get reported? I am intrigued by that Seattle date.
BeatleFan magazine's facebook site. They are very reliable. I wouldn't post this here if I didn't believe in it. The only matter they did not report too specifically was "when". Again, I think this would be acheived over two US legs, not one.
BUMP!
Let's take this into consideration venue-wise. Orlando : Amway Center - Citrus Bowl Stadium (Most likely Amway Center, brand new venue) Indianapolis : Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Lucas Oil Stadium (toss up but I pick Lucas Oil) Austin : Frank Erwin Center - Zilker Park (Zilker Park, he's done open venue shows like this before.) Tulsa : BOK Center (only likely venue) Washington DC : Verizon Center - Nationals Park - FedEx Field (Toss up but I doubt it's Verizon) New York : Madison Square Garden - Barclays Center - Izod Center - Prudential Center - Nassau Coliseum - Yankee Stadium - Citi Field - MetLife Stadium (God Only Knows) Boston : TD Garden - Fenway Park - Gillette Stadium (Fenway without a doubt) Las Cruces : Aggie Memorial Stadium Milwaukee : Bradley Center - Miller Park (Miller Park without a doubt) Seattle : Key Arena - Tacoma Dome - Safeco Field - CenturyLink Field (Toss Up) San Francisco HP Pavilion - Oracle Arena - AT&T Park - O.co Coliseum - Candlestick Park - Outside Lands (Outside lands, if not, I'd guess candlestick.)

Thank you for putting all that into perspective...and welcome to the board! I can speak for DC, that National's Park handles concerts horribly. Saw Elton John & Billy Joel there in '09 and there was absolutely no control. Security was ridiculous, people everywhere...really hope it isn't there. They haven't hosted many concerts since that one anyways. Fedex Field would be okay again I guess...but I'd prefer Verizon Center. Paul did two nights there in '02 and stopped in on the '05 US tour.
