Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
-
I just wish he'd announce at least half of the dates at one time. This really is inconsiderate.
-
I really wonder how many more dates he has left to announce. Besides NY and the lineup for the festival in SF, most of the other rumoured ones have been firmed up or shot down. I do believe the tour changed from when the first list of dates was originally reported.

Oh definitely. The premature cancellation of New Mexico confirms that. The whole tour was re-routed. I think it's because of Bonnaroo. It sounded silly at first, but someone on here was saying that he legally couldn't tour the same month of that festival in the US? Well so far none of the rumoured June shows have been announced and the tour is being re-worked...wonder if that was a catch MPL overlooked...

I'd mentioned a possible non-compete re. Bonnaroo. SF is the same promoter, so the tour may not play North America in August or June. But who knows? Non-competes can be structured very differently, or not even exist. Pure speculation based on observing the confirmed shows. No question the sequence of on-sales and concert announcements defies convention. That said, if the 7/15 Toronto and/or 7/23 Quebec dates are accurate, there will be more leading to it, and I bet after to the edge of August.

For sure and I would bet that if he is confirmed for Outside Lands he will likely do some more shows somewhere on the West Coast in Seattle or Portland or even LA.

I think the Seattle announcement is coming; a friend who lives out that way heard about a "big concert announcement" coming on Monday. So I did some Googling and found this on 95.7 KJR's FB page: 13 hours ago near Seattle, WA Anybody out there? Major announcement Monday at 1:30pm on 95.7 KJR: the historic first-ever concert at Safeco Field! I think all of that sounds about right.
-
More shows in the pipeline? Lordy, Paul...save your voice, bro.
-
Seattle was already on that Beatlefan list of cities, as I recall....
-
-
I just don't want him to sound like he did in '89/'90 again. Too many back-to-back shows, etc. Hard on the voice. He was pushing it in 2010, and he sounded quite hoarse at the second night of his Mexico City(?) show.
-
Seattle date is officially 7-19-13 Agreed with all these dates close together I hope as well it doesn't affect his voice.
-
Is the way his scheme is turning out so different to for example 2010 and 2011? 7 July 2010 10 July 2010 13 July 2010 15 July 2010 24 July 2010 26 July 2010 28 July 2010 8 August 2010 9 August 2010 12 August 2010 14 August 2010 15 August 2010 18 August 2010 19 August 2010 15 July 2011 16 July 2011 24 July 2011 26 July 2011 27 July 2011 31 July 2011 1 August 2011 4 August 2011 All North-American dates. It's comparable, no? Or is it more crammed together this time? (Blanked out the actual cities, for the sensitive people who are just glancing over the post and thinking those are actual rumours .)

getting closer
-
It is concerning how close the dates are this time around. It really isn't anymore than usual. They're just really crammed together so far...or so they seem.

I think he's trying to have one last "greatest hits live" type run before the new album comes out this fall...

That crossed my mind, too. but I think we're going to see a record-number of surprises.

Gee...I wonder who it'll be.

Same here... ! And to be fair, whenever his album will drop, I don't think the focus of his main tours will ever be on new album material.

New plan de campagne? They seem to really want to hype these concerts before the official announcement.
