Just saw this in the Indy Star online: http://www.indystar.com/article/20130409/THINGSTODO02/304090080/Will-Paul-McCartney-wing-his-way-Indy- Let it be here? Paul McCartney has announced seven U.S. dates for his 2013 tour, and it?s likely Indianapolis soon will be part of the rock ?n? roll icon?s itinerary. Bankers Life Fieldhouse plans to host a by-invite event announcement titled ?Out There? ? also the title of McCartney's tour ? on Friday. The announcement will be preceded by an English breakfast, an appropriate meal to salute a musician who grew up in Liverpool and captivated the world as a member of the Beatles.

Which leaves us with still ?New York (2 Nights) ?Indy ???? Another announcement coming Friday!! http://elpasotimes.typepad.com/pullen/2013/04/why-did-mccartney-tour-bypass-the-area-money-i-suspect.html In this article, it says 10 US Shows. Sorry to all UK/EU Fans...

Some wishful thinking for San Diego: http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/apr/08/paul-mccartney-tour/?page=1#article-copy

I wonder what likely dates would be for Indy? I'm out of town May 30-June 3 and am paranoid it's going to be one of those days.

He's in Tulsa on May 29th with no other US concerts until July - except Bonneroo (sp?). Someone said they thought there was something in the Bonneroo contract that said the performer couldn't have another concert in the US during June. If that's true, you should be OK because he usually has 2 days of rest after a concert before he has another one. That would mean Tulsa would be the last concert in May and June would be free of everything but Bonneroo in the US.

I was ecstatic when I read this. I know its nothing more that hope and wishful thinking but 37 years....I think he's do for a visit, don't you think?

Hey, let's face it...anything could happen at this point...I'm in holding pattern as well hoping and waiting for the next set(s) of announcements. However it winds up, it'll be an interesting summer. Be nice, I only got to see St Louis last year...the other shows just weren't in the cards for me. Because of Super Storm Sandy I almost got my vacation time rescinded and didn't know until the day before that I would be able to make the trip!

http://blogs.sfweekly.com/shookdown/2013/04/outside_lands_2013_five_bands.php Looks like it won't be announced until Apr. 16 whether or not he will/will not be doing Outside Lands festival in San Francisco. I was really really really hoping he would do a proper send off to Candlestick Park before it gets demolished next year. But if he does Outside Lands, I really doubt he would do another gig in S. F. I'm still hoping and praying that he will do something else in California. Not a real big festival goer. I don't even know who those other acts are, except for Green Day & RHCP.

In the San Diego article Paul said he tells his handlers to try and get him to places he has not been, that he wants to play everywhere, but that it is not always possible. Still, Paul is playing Tulsa again, after just playing there four years ago, and Seattle is just 140 miles from Vancouver, where he just played in November. I find it hard to believe his tour manager can't negotiate concerts in Albuquerque, Fresno, Brimingham, Buffalo, Honolulu, etc. In between the east coast dates and Seattle Paul could play University Stadium in Albuquerque, it holds 35,000 people. Why not? I suspect a show will be announced for Denver or Phoenix instead, places he has played numerous times. San Diego would be cool, so would Tucson. He has not played those places since 1976.

Any info on New York?

A sort-of rumor.... Looks like Orlando will be getting a 2nd show on Sunday, May 19. There is a parking pass sale on Ticketmaster for it: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/22004A88C18A45AB I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it becomes 'official'....
