Thank you NYC Paul fan! I will go read it now!

Wow NYC Paul fan! That sounds like a crazy and exciting day! There is definitely something to be said for the excitement of an outdoor concert like that! Really debating about this Quebec City show. If I was local I would be there in a heartbeat. Getting there super early and waiting for a great spot would be part of the fun. But we'd be flying to Quebec City for the show and also treating the trip as a much needed getaway for us (3 young kids at home). We've never been to Quebec City and wanted to spend the limited time we have away from the kids for a few days wandering around checking out the sites. Not sure we want to give up one of our child-free days to spend the day waiting. Obviously this show would be a bit different since it's not free and a limited amount of tickets will be sold. I wonder if we got there closer to the show how far away we'd be?

This show is being done differently than the last one (which was free and quite an ordeal to get a good position); there's a special ticket/wristband that must be purchased to be in an area closer to the stage, but this park is enormous and it isn't really clear just how big that area is going to be.

You never know. It could be that they set up folding chairs in there, and you get assigned seats. Hopefully, they will announce a method of getting good seats or places to stand well enough in advance that you could enjoy all your days there. Of all the places in North America, that one is most like Europe (at least of the cities I've been to). It's great.

I'm going to treat this one like the Atlanta concert...just hang out, picnic on a blanket & watch the screens. We went to Quebec City in the dead of winter 3 years ago...really pretty, but VERY cold, and we know winter! Everyone told us to come back in the summer. The Chateau Frontenac was very proud that Sir Paul stayed there, and it's a wonderful place. I'm looking forward to being there when it's not below zero! But that year, there was a huge blizzard in the northeast, and we drove about 20 miles north of it, all the way.

My 17 yr old son and I attended the free Quebec concert in 2008. We were near the front of the line as we got there very early in the morning, but the rush to get close to the stage once they finally let us in was insane. I am not very tall and at the time neither was he. I don't recall any seating set up. My son suffers from claustrophobia so we ended up just finding ourselves a quiet spot up on a hill a good football field away from the stage, and spreading out a blanket to give him some space. Of course it got more crowded as the event drew nearer but he had claimed his space in advance. We could see the screens and the pyrotechnics and of course the sound was fabulous. I don't know that I would do it again, but it's a great memory that neither of us regret.

Wow, lucky you! How many that will be altogether? I'm good, thanks, waiting for the very few European shows at the end of June.

Hey, we started with the same show and have been to the same number, but I can only do two this year.

Memphis and Milwaukee.

too bad you could not make it to indy.. that is the other one I am doing.

I wish Indy was in May. The time frame of these shows are all bad for me.
