Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours
-
I saw on FB Brian Ray is polling about him doing solo shows in Brazil and Argentina. Now, that could mean there is nothing on the horizon for Brian with Paul. Or, that Brian might do some solo club gigs in Brazil and Argentina while touring with McCartney!

Either way, his album is Gold over there, so he should do some shows -- definitely.

[McCartney played a casino in 2009, the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. He is a casino act, when he wants to be!
NO...McCartney is not a casino act. And all that goes along with that train of thought. He is a class act that happened to play the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Take a deep breath......... now, let it out!
you think THAT was me upset? LOL!!!!!!!!! : : no I think you need to have a drink & chill. : and he is becoming an oldies act with all the beatles songs he sings.
You just went full circle and over your own head. So, he IS becoming an oldies act, but he is NOT a casino act. Even though he happened to play a casino. And thank you. I think I will have a drink and chill!
you are a piece of work...with many posters here. why??? as wallie said
RMartinez--the term "casino acts" in the US is somewhat derogatory, and Paul is as far from a Wayne Newton frilly jacket/sequins outfit with a cheesy dance group behind him as he sings as it is possible to be.
funny thing she said in the US...and you are in the US!
Well, that matters not one iota to me, what some posters on a fan board think. I don't live my life out here. I do that in the real world. You should try it! Now I know why they are called "fanatics." You really take things personally, even from the star.
Oh my God, Oobu, he IS using the same lines!
OmiGod!!

Agreed. I'll stop. I just don't like people treating others so poorly, so I tend to give back what they give to me, and I'm too stubborn to give up. However, It's distracting to the thread for this to continue, so I'll give up the "discussion", no matter how much it bothers me to walk away...

Aside from the post about Brian's wondering about playing in South America, and the old articles with reports from Paul's people that he's planning more shows, not much going on.
-
Yep, I wouldn't make any connection from Brian's post. Hasn't he toured there on his own before anyway? So yeah...NOTHING.

He indeed has. If Paul had actually scheduled shows there, given past experience, those shows would have been leaked to the papers already. I'm thinking spring/summer shows, and not any sooner, unless he continues the recent tradition of Christmas shows.

how dare you guys talk about rumors in the darn RUMouR thread!

We're sorry, Oobu.

I wish there were some new rumours. Come on Paulie!
-
It is significant in that if Brian is planning solo shows in South America, that could mean a break from touring with Paul for a few months. No biggie.

That makes sense. I'm sure he has been assured by Paul (or MPL Tours) that no concerts are planned during a certain period of time, in which he is free to do solo concerts. That means it's an interesting idea to keep an eye on Brian's touring schedule, as that seems to be an indication of Paul's concert plans as well.

Yep, all the guys...I think we've always done that. Brian and Rusty do perform a fair amount on their own, when able. Abe toured with Clapton for awhile when Paul was really laying low...it's Wix that doesn't do much outside of McCartney's shows

Wix actually missed two secret gigs in the U.S. back in 2007 due to other musical commitments.

Really? I don't remember that. Did McCartney do those shows as a four piece? I need to check that out!
