According to MaccaMexico (Miguel, are these guys believable?): 19 de abril Estadio Minerao Belo Horizonte Brasil 21 de Abril Estádio Nacional de Brasília Brasil 27 de Abril Estadio Castelao Fortaleza Brasil 4 de Mayo Estadio Ciudad de La Plata Argentina Entre el 7 y 11 de mayo Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes Cordoba, Argentina 13 Junio Bonnaroo Festival Manchester TN Estados Unidos
I will be extremely disappointed if he heads back to Brazil and Argentina again. Tons of other places including his make good in Denmark that he should be visiting.
It sounds reasonable since there and Mexico are a big market for him, also as I've said, in Latino America the majority of his fans are REALLY young. So if he's gonna release a new album this year I think is almost sure he's gonna come to Latino America. He has to come to Latino America.

SummerFest doesn't generally have artists of Paul's calibur from what I've seen in the past. That Hangout festival stuck out to me when I noticed they were holding back their headliner.
Summerfest has had big names - Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, lots of big deal country artists - but I actually think that because he seems to be hitting all the major outdoor festivals lately (such as Bonnaroo, Coachella, Glasto, etc.) that he'd be more likely to turn up at Lollapalooza...
Has he only played Coachella and Glasto once each? Reason I ask is if so, he may not do Lollapalooza this year with Bonnaroo. Maybe next year though.
I think he 's only played each festival once--def only once at Coachella. I wasn't saying he would do Lolla this year also, but just that IMHO it would be a more likely choice than Summerfest since he seems to be hitting all of the other, similar fests, one by one. Summerfest has a different format (seats! Actual restrooms! )

I hope McCartney plays Latin America in 2013, and will be glad when he does. The Beatles never played there, nor did Wings, but those bands played Europe and the USA plenty. Latin America deserves this attention from Paul. He obviously doesn't mind performing there.
-
I think the fairness factor needs to come into play here, though. He has dates to make up in Horsens, and some LONG overdue make-up dates in Australia. That should be first priority for him, and it's only fair for those folks who haven't had a chance to see Paul the way the US and South America have in recent years.

Nop Javi, this is a teenager who "copy and paste" ALL the info generated here at the mexican forum, this forum, the Fans on the Run Forum, etc, sadly he has lie before (not saying this is the case), to start, he says to have INSIDE contact with the local promoter, which is a lie, I have the contact and I work at the record company here, he says he has travel to most of the concerts last year in South America "reporting live", when he's a teenager with no money, he only has seen Paul in 2010 and 2012 only in Mexico City and Guadalajara, I can tell his name but it's a waste of time, still, he's doing a good job COMPILING all the info generated on the web. How do I know this "MaccaMex" (twitter/facebook) guy lies and "copy and paste" all the info? Because I have tricked him MANY times before! haha, posting WRONG info (on purpose) on our mexican forum and within minutes HE PUT THE INFO on his accounts! haha. By the way, I made the corrections on my info a few minutes after and ALL the people on the mexican forum knows this, he was already banned but he created a new account with fake name. (The problem is that he doesn't give credits and says the info is EXCLUSIVE coming from him, but no problem beyond that) As I've said, he's doing good compiling the info, but ALL is out on this forum, the Brazilian fan pages and Fans on the Run blog and Beatles Magazine web page. You can see the dates on many web pages, all seem to be close to the correct ones (except for Cordoba), let's wait. I trust more on the inside info 5th Beatle has and have been posting here and many other forums, than all the info on MaccaMex (he didn't knew about the 3 dates last year here in Mexico, we already knew the extact dates and venues, even the FREE Zócalo concert, which was top secret, and he wrote on his accounts about the 3 concerts but NEVER said where or when UNTIL we post them when local promoter OCESA gave us the "green light" to post all the info (before PM.COM), the same day I've sent the info also to MaccaReport and here, and he (maccamex) said "I knew the dates but could't post it online because all was top secret" haha, poor guy!)

You act like it's some kind of personal thing, like McCartney OWES you or OWES Horens or Australia. In fact, McCartney doesn't even HAVE to perform another show for the rest of his life if he so chooses. Look at John Lennon. Or George Harrison. They chose not to, and the world kept turning. "Fair" has nothing to do with it. If it did, he would have played in New Mexico again a long time ago. He hasn't and probably won't ever again. I understand your frustration, believe me. But I have decided instead of getting angry every time a McCartney show is announced and New Mexico is not on the list, I am greatful McCartney even did one show here in 1993 and wish him and his audiences well, wherever he plays. He's not sitting at a table saying, "On no! I won't play in New Mexico. I won't play in Australia. I won't play in Horens." Business people who watch out for his professional interests, finances, and public image, are making those decisions.

You're absolutely right, Mr. Martinez. Kudos to your brilliant post.

Not really. Paul visited there with The Beatles, Wings and solo several times, considerably less than South America. He finally discovered (or his managers) he can fill bigger stadiums and charge top dollar here so he's making up for the 30 years of his career he didn't set foot here. If you think about it, Paul only performed in Argentina twice: 1993 and 2010, considerably less concerts than in Australia and Denmark if you consider his whole career.

I'm not actually acting like anything, nor am I angry. I posted my thoughts, that's all. Having worked in PR for a bit, I'm well aware that it's a business Paul is in. I was just writing what I think is fair, no more, no less. I believe that when canceling both sets of concerts I posted about, he said he would make it up to Australia and Horsens. Scheduling concerts in other spots isn't particularly making it up to them, but that's his choice. Just seems a bit unfair. That's all.

Ok. It's unfair. Now let's see where Paul McCartney performs in 2013!

He plays South America because it's good for his business and even better for his ego. Look at the massive stadiums he plays and sells out in Mexico, South America is a big market! I think we decided long ago that Paul doesn't really care about being fair to his fans. He'd rather sell out a stadium playing his Beatles road show that a small arena playing solo stuff. Fair 'nuff it's his choice but he had nobody to blame but himself for his post-Beatles reputation at home.

It is. He'd be stupid to not play there if he looks at his concerts as a business venture. I retain some hope, though, that he also cares about his fans, and I just hope that he plans to make up those canceled concerts sometime soon before getting back to playing the usual lucrative markets. Call me a dreamer...

See my edit above, he doesn't. He'll keep going back to South America...maybe he's a big fan of Mexican food?

This conversation is getting more and more ridiculous. So, when Paul performs in Europe or the USA, he is an amazing artist who cares for his fans. But when he plays in Mexico or South America, he is just a money making business man who doesn't care for his fans. That is absurd. Fans in Spanish speaking countries are just as important and deserving of concerts as fans in Europe and the USA. Get off it already.

I'm pretty sure I said nothing of the sort, if this is aimed at me. I was clearly stating that there are places he needs to play before returning to the usual tour spots...

In 1993 McCartney was scheduled to perform in Syracuse, NY and the show was canceled. He never made up that show. It happens. BTW, my comments were more about a general tone with some folks here. I sure hope he plays in Horens and Australia, but he may not. The show and the tour must go on!

With Paul doing the Bonnaroo festival in June, would hazard a guess that he would do other dates in North/South America around that time as well, leaving a UK/Europe tour for late summer/autumn maybe. The people of Denmark certainly deserve first pickings.

Seems South America is on the page for April/May and Bonnaroo in June. Paul is a pretty cool guy. I think there is hope he will play Denmark when he plays Europe. Who knows? Maybe he'll open a European tour in Horens! I suspect that is what will happen.
