But Charlie Gibson backs Obama in a corner - and Barack still wants to raise the capital gains tax. I think the subject on line video is so close to the truth, it hurts

Yesterday the news is reporting (if you haven't figured this out, American news has been penetrated by foreign fraction and are reporting propaganda) The oil prices are free falling and this is a very bad thing.. Yes all product will drop in prices and than we will all start losing our jobs. Oh yea! Lower prices in gas mean all products will be able to lower their prices and you pay less. Very bad! So now OPEC (Bush killed off any opposers to the cartel that didn't listen to him) are meeting to shut the flow of oil down to drive gas prices up. I telling all of you this war was about killing off the leader of Iraq to gain contol over the flow of oil in the middle east and Bush and American oil companies have done it. Now only those who support oil manipulation are left . Right now a barrel of oil is down to where it was when we were paying 110 a gallon yet at the pumps it being held up to 275. With government needing money and putting taxes on gas there no incentive for our leaders to want cheaper prices because they make less. Vote McCain and Palin in and what see where gas prices land. back too. 4.89 a gal. Which the media will tell you it a good thing..to be broke and hungry and go nowhere but to work for "The man".
Suddenly lower oil prices are bad. Why is that? Might it hurt Democrats? The last time I can recall paying $1.10 a gallon was in the late 70's. From 1974 to 78 a barrel of oil was $12. to $13. The Iran Iraq war brought the price up to $35. a barrel. Gasoline was then selling for around $1.40 a gallon. When OPEC announced it was cutting production it did nothing to effect the price of crude or gasoline, this time. Sometimes OPEC is successful when they change production of oil to lower or raise prices. This time they weren't. But if we did our own drilling OPEC would really become irrelevant. Instead of blaming Bush for OPEC you should be blaming Democrats for putting us at their mercy. When gasoline was approaching $5.00 a gallon Obama's only complaint was that it was going up too fast. Making gasoline unaffordable for the people who earn the least "was a good thing" in Obama's mind. He didn't care that working people were being hurt in business, automobiles, and home heating. There's nothing Obama and his fellow socialists would like to see more than us sleeping with five blankets while he can afford to pay any price. It's the working people who will be forced to sacrifice, not the Democratic nominee who became a millionaire under the Bush presidency. Al Gore's lavish energy burning lifestyle has shown Obama there's a double standard that he can get way with. Many of the people who are hurting the most look upon people like Gore and Obama as being more than human. The more those two piss in the face of their followers the more they open their mouth to catch the urine. One other point: why are you contradicting yourself? Read the first and last paragraph of your post.

When gas is over $4 a gallon, it is the fault of Bush, Republicans and "Big Oil" Now that the price is down - who's fault/credit is that? What happened to Obama telling us that if he was elected, he would bring down the price of gas.. I'll tell you as a stock holder of these big oil companies, I want to know why they aren't still charging at least $3.50 since they control the price.. :

Why do I have visions of Jimmy Carter here? For those of you old enough to have voted back then and are now voting for Obama, do you not remember sitting in 2+ hour gas lines? Remember the famous "put on a sweater" Jimmy Carter speech?

This is written by a "Card carrying Democrat" that sums it all up. The entire article is great and really points out what has occured in this country for those of you here in the U.S and living abroad.
By Orson Scott Card Editor?s note: Orson Scott Card is a Democrat and a newspaper columnist, and in this opinion piece he takes on both while lamenting the current state of journalism. October 20, 2008 An open letter to the local daily paper ? almost every local daily paper in America:I remember reading All the President?s Men and thinking: That?s journalism. You do what it takes to get the truth and you lay it before the public, because the public has a right to know. This housing crisis didn?t come out of nowhere. It was not a vague emanation of the evil Bush administration. It was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were authorized to approve risky loans.
This was completely foreseeable and in fact many people did foresee it. One political party, in Congress and in the executive branch, tried repeatedly to tighten up the rules. The other party blocked every such attempt and tried to loosen them. Furthermore, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were making political contributions to the very members of Congress who were allowing them to make irresponsible loans.
Instead, it was Sen. Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, both Democrats, who denied that there were any problems, who refused Bush administration requests to set up a regulatory agency to watch over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and who were still pushing for these agencies to go even further in promoting subprime mortgage loans almost up to the minute they failed.
These are facts. This financial crisis was completely preventable. The party that blocked any attempt to prevent it was ? the Democratic Party. The party that tried to prevent it was ? the Republican Party. Yet when Nancy Pelosi accused the Bush administration and Republican deregulation of causing the crisis, you in the press did not hold her to account for her lie. Instead, you criticized Republicans who took offense at this lie and refused to vote for the bailout! What? It?s not the liar, but the victims of the lie who are to blame? Now let?s follow the money ? right to the presidential candidate who is the number two recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae. And after Fred Raines, the CEO of Fannie Mae who made $90 million while running it into the ground, was fired for his incompetence, one presidential candidate?s campaign actually consulted him for advice on housing. If that presidential candidate had been John McCain, you would have called it a major scandal and we would be getting stories in your paper every day about how incompetent and corrupt he was. But instead, that candidate was Barack Obama, and so you have buried this story, and when the McCain campaign dared to call Raines an ?adviser? to the Obama campaign ? because that campaign had sought his advice ? you actually let Obama?s people get away with accusing McCain of lying, merely because Raines wasn?t listed as an official adviser to the Obama campaign. You would never tolerate such weasely nit-picking from a Republican.
It's a rather lengthy piece but worthwhile reading. Here is the link to his editorial: http://captainleadbottom.wordpress.com/2008/10/23/would-the-last-honest-reporter-please-turn-on-the-lights-rhinotimes-reprint/
This was a great article and I think a lot of the McCain supporters feel exactly like the thoughts of the writer.

What is the point of being so arrogant towards McCain and Palin? I could say that Biden could drink himself to death and Obama has such a large ego that his head could explode, therefore Americans are setting themselves up for disaster on so many levels...but I won't.

It really is amazing that Obama supporters: 1) Really do think that they are entitled to other people's money 2) Have brushed off Obama's racism (what if McCain belonged to a racist church for 20 years?, What if McCain referred to someone as "a typical black person") 3) Don't acknowledge that Obama hasn't accomplished anything other than attaining positions (he never even WROTE anything for the Harvard Law Review, authored a bill as a Senator etc..) 4) Think that taxes are supposed to do more than afford to run the government (taxes are NOT supposed to provide for the people)

I just finished reading this - thanks for posting, it really does sum it up nicely. It is amazing how anything negative about Obama is swept under the rug and called a "smear." Obama will win this campaign based on people actually believing that we're in this financial mess because of "8 years of Bush's failed economic policies."

Ummm.....are you referring to the very recent massive redistribution of wealth from the american taxpayers (mainly middle class) to the investors and FAT CATS of Wall Street? Or are you concerned that the middle class could possibly get their money back and the corruption and greed would be all for nothing?

Oh OK, I understand now, it was only the middle class that lost money in the financial crisis and bailout. :
