Obama would never publically approve of this presentation. He might not even privately - I believe that would be the case. I also believe that John McCain and/or Sarah Palin would approve. You decide for yourself: The Third Jihad (30 minute excerpt from the makers of Obsession) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-864522917532871834 btw: it was put together by an American Muslim.

Ignorance: what? Ignorance against womens rights and freedom as shown in the presentation? Bigotry (??) - you better be specific on both counts

I read that Martha Reeves is now a member of the Detroit City Council and I'll bet she is beside herself with pride.
Too bad the City Of Detroit is not proud of her. Backing our thug, perjurious, stripper killing, WhistleBlower Law ignoring, rascist Mayor... right to the end. Then there's that whole... meeting with a suspended official who is under investigation for bribes paid in a sludge recycling deal with the City... thing. (She originally opposed the deal. Hmm... ) I wonder, is there a Youtube link for "Dancing In The Cell?" The City Of Detroit is a mess... and coincidentally about as BLUE a city/state as it gets!
You're not alone Jonathan....here in Boston a state senator was arrested on bribery charges last week....she's been crooked for years.....they're all waiting for her to sing like a canary and bring down some others...oh, and you can't get bluer than here

Hidden Audio: Obama Tells SF Chronicle He Will Bankrupt Coal Industry By P.J. Gladnick November 2, 2008 - 07:26 ET Please read update about the San Francisco Chronicle neglecting to mention Obama's willingness to bankrupt the coal industry at bottom of this blog.) Imagine if John McCain had whispered somewhere that he was willing to bankrupt a major industry? Would this declaration not immediately be front page news? Well, Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview has been hidden from the public...until now. Here is the transcript of Obama's statement about bankrupting the coal industry (emphasis mine): Let me sort of describe my overall policy. What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there. I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year. So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted. That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches. The only thing I've said with respect to coal, I haven't been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a (sic) ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it. So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them. Amazing that this statement by Obama about bankrupting the coal industry has been kept under wraps until this time. UPDATE: NewsBusters' Tom Blumer has found out that the San Francisco Chronicle story published on January 18 based upon this January 17 interview did not include any mention of Obama's willingness to bankrupt the coal industry which you can hear on the audio. You can read the story here when you scroll down to the "In His Own Words" section. Way to cover up for The One, SF Chronicle! ?P.J. Obama wants to increase your energy costs: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=79758 Posted: November 01, 2008 7:05 pm Eastern By Drew Zahn 2008 WorldNetDaily JOHNSTON, Iowa ? In a recently publicized video from the Democratic primaries, Sen. Barack Obama said the government should drive energy bills up through "price signals" in order to force Americans into more environmentally friendly choices. In the Nov. 9, 2007, interview on Iowa Public Television's "Iowa Press," Obama said Americans like driving SUVs and leaving the lights on, but since "it is undisputable that the climate is getting warmer," consumers would have to change their habits. When asked what would make consumers change, Obama said government-created "price signals" would make people more mindful of energy costs and compel them to start changing light bulbs and turning off light switches. Watch the video documentary, "Global Warming or Global Governance? What the media refuse to tell you about so-called climate change" Associated Press reporter Mike Glover asked, "How do you convince people to change their lifestyle, to live differently?" Obama's answer, viewable in the video below, was, "I think it is important for us to send some price signals to change behavior. You know, if electricity goes up, people start becoming more mindful of their electricity bill." (Story continues below) When Des Moines Register reporter David Yepsen asked Obama what part of his campaign Americans may not like to hear, the candidate returned to the theme of price signals. "Number one, we're going to have to start doing a better job of conserving on energy," Obama said. "Americans like to drive their big SUVs. They like to leave all the lights on in their house. We're going to have to change our habits." He then clarified how the government could implement the kind price signals that change consumer habits. "We're going to have to cap the emission of greenhouse gases," Obama said. "That means that power plants are going to have to adjust how they generate power. They will pass on those costs to consumers. ? A lot of us who can afford it are going to have to pay more per unit of electricity, and that means we're going to have to change our light bulbs, we're going to have to shut the lights off in our houses." The full context of Obama's comments about driving up electricity prices to bring about consumer change can be viewed in a second segment of the interview below: Internet bloggers that began circulating the video earlier today also lent their opinion on Obama's plan for consumer change. "Is that the function of government ? to fix prices as a punitive measure to change consumer behavior?" asked the Hot Air Blog. "It will be in an Obama administration. He and a few elites will decide which consumer behaviors are bad and penalize it with price signals." New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, however, commented in a May editorial on the issue of government-created price signals, arguing that a federal gasoline tax would be just the kind of energy "price signal" that would finally persuade Americans to give up their SUVs. "We need to make a structural shift in our energy economy," Friedman wrote. "The only way to get from here to there is to start now with a price signal that will force the change. "Barack Obama had the courage to tell voters that the McCain-Clinton summer gas-giveaway plan was a fraud. Wouldn't it be amazing if he took the next step and put the right plan before the American people? Wouldn't that just be amazing?" Friedman wrote. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Related offers: Get "The Audacity of Deceit," and learn about the looming hostile attack on Judeo-Christian values and freedoms Americans hold dear Get Jerome Corsi's "The Obama Nation," autographed by the author, exclusively from WND's online store. Obama wants to increase your energy costs: Obama wants to decrease our energy costs by tapping into...directly available, and cleaner energy sources...wind, solar and geothermal the job and income opportunities are incredible!
-
Obama didn't say that - he just wants people to change their habits, which is good in some ways but not in others. People are already cash strapped as it is. They're not going out - hence are spending more time at home and having to use electricity...and will be paying even more for that utility.
-
What would happen if everyone just stayed away from the polls? Give someone the message that none of those running for office are worthy of it. Why are presidential elections held in Nov.? It's the best time of year to pick turkeys. I'm a vegetarian.

wood n coal...oil and nuclear energy use too much work energy and are much riskier

And a bump to what I said earlier today - and I did explain myself. It's just further back of those who assumed that I would not ...
Andy_Shofar:
Just my short 2 cents - I believe that if Obama is elected President, that the majority of people (never all) who voted for him, will live to regret it It won't happen all at once - it might not happen in his first term. I think the regret will be looking back years later. People will pine, "If I only was a bit smarter to pay more attention to the news behind the news, I never would have voted for Obama!. But, alas that was then and this is now - and now it's too late

2 democrats forward and 1 republican back ...if you ever get the feeling that you are surrounded by liberals and republicans...you may just be a democrat!

It is what is commonly called ' scraping the bottom of the barrel' This observation is not aimed at any individual.....just party politics. I will use the UK as a example of a weakness in party politics. At the moment approx half of our goverment is made up of new labour mps.....and the other half , tory , lib dems...others. (and this will probably reverse at the next election) So at any given time, about half of the house will want the goverment to fail.......AND THEREFORE THE COUNTRY. Which is insanity really. This trend will then trickle down to the voters.

But it's a matter of fact that the election in the US is completely open! Even though Obama is way ahead of McCain in the surveys, nobody dares to say that he's going to win the election! I certainly wouldn't! I'm sure there are many people who said they would vote for Obama but then in the booth they slink off with the tail between the legs! And I think another factor is crucial - the people in european countries are not mighty happy with the results of the elections in their country! I understand your point of view and you probably understand that I'm not really happy about the fact that the fascists gained 30% of the votes in my country! BUT we don't have to be afraid that the election is manipulated! Which means that our people are really that stupid!
