The ..2012.... Political thread

seriously, I hope Trump runs he could be as much fun as Palin maybe more First, I guess he would define marriage as between one old white man and a succession of younger females anybody got another one?

Ugh, I read the headline "Meghan McCain Endorses Mitt Romney"--don't tell me that throw back to Ronald Regan (but minus a lot of Regan's supposed warmth and charm) is going to be our next Prez !! Ugh! He's kind of handsome, but that's not everything! Not by a long shot! Uh oh You can tell old Mitt is on the side of the rich and not 'the people.' He might get it and be the obvious figurehead or puppet for various nefarious "movers and shakers" behind the scenes. That's a dire thought. They'd be 'movin' and shakin' " for the status quo, for the conservative establishment. They wouldn't really be seeking many progressive positive changes at all.

Obama will be reelected. Romney's success has been at making money not jobs..he's a venture capitalist....an uber capitalist...money is his god. He's a big believer in trickle down economics oh yeah, like that has worked for the last 30 years. http://wonkette.com/349068/romney-whines-about-how-laying-off-workers-makes-him-sad Romney will keep trying to be pres. until he dies

I'm sorry but 9 to 10% unemployment around the country is nothing for the current administration to be bragging about. This is reported. It is higher in many areas - and some people have given up looking. You should not use this in your campaigning right now - it will hurt your cause.

Our neighboring state to the south (Rhode Island) is really hurting in these regards...

they may not be looking...haven't the unemployment benefits been extended?
-
Rhode Island has the 5th highest unemployment rate at 11.9% (as of January - Florida, California, Michigan and Nevada round out the top 5)...I don't think it's because people aren't looking. I do have a sister in law who was laid off almost 2 years ago here in MA...given that she was in management, at first she only tried for jobs that would put her in the same ballpark as what she was making in her prior job...but now she's looking for pretty much anything (short of working fast food or something along those lines)
-
I know...it's really getting bad out there. As a small small business owner (28 years) this is the slowest we have ever been. AND we're in advertising of sorts. Ya think there's be more call for our services.

C'mon - where's all the leftists in here??? Obama wants to open a can a whup arse on Libya and you're not crying about it yet. Of course he waits until Gaddafi kills thousands of his own citizens in the past couple of weeks before he makes his 'bold' statement (while hiding behind the UN)

Trump Ready to Spend $600 Million on Run http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/trump-ready-spend-600-million-run-13152398
While I'm not sure I'd want him to win, a highlight for me if he did win would be if on inauguration day, he points to Obama and says 'YOU'RE FIRED'
you don't become rich unless you overcharge your customers...and/or... underpay your help
just curious -- have you ever managed a business (a position in which you've been responsible for setting prices and/or wages)?
No. I was asking you a question about your experience in managing businesses. Do you not want to answer it? are you saying that donald trump became overly rich because of monetary mismanagement?

Here's a link to a USA Today article describing how unemployment has risen in the majority of America's cities ... http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2011-03-18-metro-unemployment.htm#

love to work...love to learn...love to be healthy...and love to have fun... it'll bring peace on earth...to everyone
and a little tolerances helps.
Re your earlier comment: 1) I don't understand your use of the word "obvious". ( by the way, the word I used was "oblivious", if that's what you were referring to. 2) I'm not a republican. 3) I'm not monitoring this site. 4). This is not a liberal site; it's a site for fans of Paul McCartney. Re your current comment: "a little tolerance helps". Nice advice from a person who just referred to a couple of Irish Americans as "micks".
Correction a couple of arrogant M ale I rish C atholics. But than you knew that cause your the expert on this thread. As someone of Irish decent on both side of the family I don't need you to tell me the proper put down to a couple arrogant Irish catholics who church formed there screwed up way of thinking. There a pair of pricks who spew hatred for other people of different races and different beliefs and don't get me started on the repression of womans rights these two believe in. One screaming to monitor Muslims in this country when his own family had ties to the IRA. You remember them right? A bunch of Male Irish Catholics who blew up protestants. We're needing to watch American Muslims because their.. more a terrorist than say the... IRA supporter?? A little misguided thinking, kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe we should monitor ALL churches. That's a start to ending war and terrorism because bottom line, it's all extreme religious thinking causing all the issues in the world. I'm suprised your not a conservative :. I guess you're just a supporter of McCarthyism and Conservative loud mouth TV hosts. Sounds like I might of offended you? Oh well!! to bad so sad

Trump is fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. He doesn't have a prayer of being embraced by the narrow-minded Republican voters out there.

MARCH 19, 2011 OBAMA: 'Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world'... MARCH 19, 2003 BUSH: 'American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger'...

One is based on verifiable truths and facts. The other was utter b.s. Next?

Why are conservatives members of a Paul McCartney Web site anyway? You guys know that he wouldn't agree with any of you guys about anything ever, right? John Lennon, for sure!
