I think Obama just barbecued up Mr Wiener-schnitzel. I think he a goner. Which means he'll get a job as a new person on a major network as a talking head until he turns around his image. Palin a no show to Rep debates.

Doubtless Palin feared she wouldn't be able to think of anything to say : Talk about unqualified for the Presidency!! She personifies that term-- it's so ironic so many can't see that. Are they "typical stupid Americans" or what. At least they'll think "Mitt" Romney can't "rule" cause he's liable to assemble a passel of more wives and have a harem (going by those reality t.v. shows about extreme renegade Mormons, LOL, they'll think he's one).
-
Suz', many, many, many so-called "conservatives" could stand to take a Critical Thinking course. They consider Reagan to be the ideal Republican, although the deficit tripled on his watch. They say Democrats aren't fiscally disciplined, although Clinton left office with a surplus and a balanced budget. The CBO advised the Republicans mid-decade that Medicare Part D, the prescription drug legislation and tax breaks for the rich would add hundreds of billions to the deficit... ...and they passed them anyway. The CBO advised that Obama's healthcare legislation would reduce the deficit... ...and the Republicans fought it tooth-and-nail. People who rally behind the current Republican leaders are idiots.

I believe strongly in the separation of church and state, and religion is rarely a factor in my support of a candidate for any office. However, I could never, ever vote for someone whose denomination did not allow blacks to enter the priesthood until about 1980. I was once a member of that church, for about three months when I was in high-school. It did not take me long to do the math and conclude that it fundamentally contradicts the basic, core teachings of the Christian faith.

Ron Nasty, of The Rutles (Neil Innes), summed polysci best with the song "No Matter Who You Vote For." Stay on groovin' safari, Tor

uh oh...the online "Slate" magazine opines the GOP frontrunners have toned down their act and mainly tossed out the teapot and far far right nut cases, which is bad news for Obama They based this on the GOP debates the other night. I've read Michelle Bachman is a Tea Potter, but that she's not an all out flake like Palin, is trying to tone it down in order to seem viable as a candidate for prez.

The Politicians on both "sides" are doing what they always do at this point in the Campaign process: they are crafting the lies that The People want to hear. They are designing the "Soundbites" they will feed to US like they were real answers. You know: More Bullshït they hope we will believe in.

Gore Vidal said the very wealthiest in the land are actually the ones who rule the land. He said "big banks." And I suppose he meant Wall Street (?) The multibillionaires, also-- I wouldn't mind so much if Bill Gates and Warren Buffet were the powers behind the throne, people like them

I watch the Repukes debate and I thought that the winner was clearly Ron Paul.. he got all the claps. I think these TV frigging channels are lying about polls. I do not believe Mitt Romney won with that wacko, Sarah wanna bee, as second. Come on! CNN is a shifty network. There pushing a agenda. They act like there liberal. There not. When Fox backed off Palin because of the shooting in Az CNN ran with her. She should not even be on a bad reality TV show. This shows you the power of control of the airwaves

News flash!! Larry Flint offers Wiener a job. "After having learned of your sudden and compelled resignation from your congressional post, I would like to make you an offer of employment at Flynt Management Group, LLC in our Internet group," he wrote. "This offer is not made in jest. To show our sincerity, Flynt Management Group, LLC is willing to pay 20 percent more than your former congressional salary," he added, also promising to pay medical cover and relocation costs. He added: "I feel that your unfortunate resignation is a prime example of unfounded political pressure and the hypocrisy that has invaded democracy in Washington DC." "Just as we do not undertake insincere political crusades, we do not make insincere job offers," said Flynt in a letter to Weiner,

Why is John Edwards smiling in his police arrest "mug shot"? It seems peculiar. Why would someone smile at a time like that???

I think he did it so nobody could use the mug shot in a negative campaign ad in the future. It's the same thing Tom daschel did in his mug shot. He dressed up nicely, wore an american flag lapel pin, and smiled.

That makes sense Thanks He's kidding himself though, he won't get to run for anything-- especially when the Hollywood movie comes out they're making about his escapades--except run for the hills
