yes it should be. it was originally thought that the candidates would be sorted out. i thought it would be too, but it appears that's not going to happen boys and girls, we have a definitive horse race with the democrats. In the recent past americans haven't seen a nomination go to the convention floor. You just might see that this time around. And as i suggested earlier, the wild cards sitting in the weeds: Ralph Nader (please no) and Michael Bloomberg.
Perhaps just maybe -- I will watch a little bit more of the convention if that does happen. (Last presidential election-- I actually asked - as a rhetorical question - why have the conventions - when both sides had their candidates).
Well that depends on if they cover the whole thing. Last time there was limited coverage. There are another 20 or so states besides those tomorrow, some have primaries coming up: Ohio, Texas, among others. Stay tuned

The Politicians are here in Boston today and they're blaming each other on jinxing the Patriots into a loss And you wonder why I'm such a political aficionado

We are supposed to be talking about candidates.......not me!
I never view this thread, but I glanced and saw this...

well i'm headed to the polls today for the primary election...not sure who i wanna vote for???? ...maybe i shouldn't vote
-
It seems you're not alone. Apparently many voters didn't decide until they were in the voting booth or in front of the screen.

Michigan's primary is today ... basically the Democrats just gave us the finger by not showing up in the state ..... their names are not on the ballot *exept Hilary and Dennis K... (you cannot write in a name just Hilary, Dennis and uncommited ) ... they gave some lame excuse about the change .... but they really are shrugging it off and trying for points somewhere else .... (I'll remember their actions when it is time to vote in the major election). Not that all the Republicans are my favorites either .... at least they have the common courtesy to put their names on the ballot and show up ... because it is for the US President and Michigan is included in the US. I am hoping uncommited kicks Hilary's butt *but that won't happen .... just wishful thinking.
At least they put their names on the ballot in your state (I am assuming because I have not seen the ballots of the states this day . I just have not heard otherwise). I will try to watch late today or tomorrow for some results.

The reason the democratic candidates did not campaign in michigan or florida is due to the party, not the candidates. The states did not agree to the february 5 primary date and held theirs separately. The party decided to strip the delegates from the states. That's the undemocractic part of it. Clinton, who won the florida primary but did not receive any delegates, wants to have the florida delegates seated at the convention later this year. Just as a reminder, the candidates need to get the nomination for the general election in november. They need to rack up the number of delegates. Each state has their own way in conducting elections: california and florida had early voting, while other states do not; some have ballots that you can write in a candidate, some do not. i've been on other sites and it still amazes me that some americans don't understand how the election process works here. It's one of the most beautiful aspects of the US imo. I can understand those that live outside the US don't understand it. As Andy mentioned, watch NJ. Keep an eye on Missouri and California too

He's too old to be president anyway and if he thinks that, Anna, it's all the more reason why he SHOULD not be president of the US.
I don't mind his age (though I don't agree that Reagan was a great president)! Some people say Obama is too young and because of that he's too inexperienced! It's STUPIDITY that worries me because I don't want another four years (or even eight years) with statements like: "More and more of our imports come from overseas." Duh!

Just trying to play it up & say something positve about NJ - no predictions by me - no, none at all!!! But it does seem as if our fellow Garden Staters have leaned toward John McCain
