I like these type of sites for a bit more imformation about where I stand and how it compares to the candidates http://www.electoralcompass.com/
It says I am closest to McCain and farthest from Barack Obama......I didn't need that quiz to tell me that....
Same thing here.

I heard a political rumor about Barack Obama -- that he does not salute the flag or say the pledge (that he actually turns his back to the flag when it is being honored) -- is this true? Or just mud being thrown here? *these are not my words -- but I am curious since I heard them.
I hear he's a terrorist. : You know because his name is Obama. : Aren't you glad to get to hear him speak and judge him off what you hear coming out of his mouth. He is the vote of change. Also Oprah is a pretty well read lady who made a billion or so and seems pretty smart. If she publicly backing him, the first time ever to back a politician, than you got something. I been donating to his campaine since the beginning.

I found out these words came from the Democrat party itself --- his own party -- anything to get elected -- Every candidate for 50 or more years has been promising "Change" *except for the candidates who ran for a second term.

When candidates start speaking specifically about 'change"...what, how, etc., then maybe I'll listen
-
Precinct Captain for Obama!
-
Then let your buddy know, some of us need specifics on his "change"

To find information on issue/policy specifics for each candidate just go to the candidates website i.e. www.barackobama.com On Obamas site just click on issues and then you can download the information you want. On Edwards site the same www.johnedwards.com just click on issues and then go to specific issues It takes some time to learn about the candidates specific plans but it is the only way to make a decision Peace

I prefer hearing it out of their mouths. His speeches so far are just rhetoric. i'm looking for substance.

Michigan's primary is today ... basically the Democrats just gave us the finger by not showing up in the state ..... their names are not on the ballot *exept Hilary and Dennis K... (you cannot write in a name just Hilary, Dennis and uncommited ) ... they gave some lame excuse about the change .... but they really are shrugging it off and trying for points somewhere else .... (I'll remember their actions when it is time to vote in the major election). Not that all the Republicans are my favorites either .... at least they have the common courtesy to put their names on the ballot and show up ... because it is for the US President and Michigan is included in the US. I am hoping uncommited kicks Hilary's butt *but that won't happen .... just wishful thinking.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/01/15/romney_singing_new_tune_sweeter_to_detroits_ears/ Another central point that Romney has made in Michigan is that he would use his business acumen to create jobs. Yet during his four-year term as Massachusetts governor, which began in the depths of a recession, the number of jobs grew by just 0.5 percent, compared with 5.5 percent nationally, according to Labor Department statistics. Only three states did worse: Ohio, Louisiana, and Michigan. Manufacturing employment in Massachusetts slid 12 percent, more than double the national average; the state fared only slightly better than Michigan, which lost more than 15 percent of manufacturing jobs during that period. Attn: Michigan voters, take a look at this article in the Globe as jobs are a concern out there......don't do what we did.....much love, from your *Massachusetts* cousins

I am closest to Obama and furthest away from Fred Thompson. I am not, however, American.
