I forgot to add that in south central BC the tiny town of Lytton hit a record 130 degrees Farenheit. Then, tragically a couple of days ago it caught fire and the whole town burned to the ground. They had less than 15 minustes to get out. Some people are still missing.
Wow, that’s shocking? Why is it so hot there? So sad Little Laura

Heat Dome: https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/heat-dome.html
I'm just glad the Assisted Living Residence has air conditioning. Though we were told to stay away from windows, and not go outside. They also made sure we drank lots of water, etc. When it's this hot it's hard to even think. Which is probably why so many elderly who lived by themselves died. Couldn't remember to drink water or when to call for help. Sad.

God, that is awful! Where I live, near Atlanta, it can get quite hot in the summer, but all those crazy high temperatures missed us. We have been in the mid 80s to 91. Lows in high 60s to 72. Right now at about 1:20am it is 68.

It's not something I want to live thru again, that's for sure! It just saps your energy and even your mind. All you can do is stay still in the coolest spot and drink lots of water. Like I said I'm so glad I was lucky that my Assisted Living building had air conditioning in the common areas. Our rooms not so. But I rented a portable air conditioner from the building a month before the heat hit so I was mostly ok. The staff ran around making sure everyone was drinking, and was out of their rooms if they didn't have AC. Not a nice time.

Going to be in the 100s here the next few days.

Well the other day we had a hurricane coming up the coast. There were tornadoes associated with the storm so I left my TV on and fell asleep. II woke up because there was a loud noise and I was trying to figure out if it sounded like a freight train... the next second the TV had a loud Tornado alert, saying circular movement was seen in my area, and to go to the basement immediately. So I ran right down to the basement, called a friend to check out what was going on. Luckily if there was one, it didn’t touch the ground. That was frightening!
Today we had loud thunder, a front stuck in place. The good news is I don’t have to water the garden!

We had a big thunderstorm near me yesterday afternoon and one loud thunderclap shook the house!

It wasn't that long ago that people were complaining about things being dry and needing rain.
Now it is raining nearly every day for about a week, with a day that doesn't. Rain as much and another day that gets scattered showers... and then some all day rain ... the forecast calls for rain this week ... this makes the summer seem that much shorter - unless A person walks and plays in the rain, gets wet and tries to pretend that all is okay.
-
Sunny today - high 90, low 70!

B.C. desparetly needs rain. It feels as if the whole Province is on fire. Emergency evacuations have been in place for days all around the interior. It's cloudy here right now, but no rain.

It’s been raining so much I haven’t had to water the flowers!
-
So humid lately. This weekend will be even worse. Dew points in the 70s.
-
We had finally gotten a taste of Fall, but it will be back up into the 90s by the end of the week.
-
Sunny all week. High today 84, low 61.

Heavy downpours have been non stop since around 1AM here! Won't fix the drought situation here at all, but its a small start. Small flooding and power outages though around the area.
-
Feels like the begging of winter alredy... Today it is -2 celsius (29 fahrenheit) and feels like -7 celsius (20 fahrenheit). And a lot of wet snow))
