Btw, a lot is being made about Spain's second goal against Denmark. 64 touches 27 passes All in a two-minute span before Tamudo sent Sergio Ramos through. Jogo bonito at its finest. From Spain no less! Haven't been able to find the entire play from start to finish on youtube though.

That's "easy" when you have scored the first goal and the other team has to try to go after the ball... then Spain it's like Barça, just doing great passes, the thing is done. The problem is the first goal if the other team is defending the 0-0 result. By the way... my new job... is just in the business company that imports the Barça official shirts. As long as Barça will do fine this company will do fine, I said... Luckily it's more than selling the Barça shirts... but I look around and there are hundreds, if not thousands. And I account the import. American Nike blah, blah... I don't know who's the player that sells more shirts... this is not an accountant things but a seller's one though. But they're doing superb lately.

Oh, come now. I understand about not being able to do it when it's 0-0 but you don't see 20+ passes leading to a goal that often. Two that quickly come to mind are Milan v Barcelona in the 1994 Champions League final (Massaro, 2-0 right before halftime) and Argentina v Serbia/Montenegro in the World Cup (Cambiasso, 2-0). But what others? Certainly nowhere near "easy" regardless of the score. Congrats on the new job. Can I be you? At first I heard that Henry's shirt was the biggest seller. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Messi overtake Henry at some point if he keeps going the way he is. I want a Bojan shirt.
-
If you really want a Bojan shirt, I think that can be arranged I can ask them about it. But they only deal with the sales in Barcelona. It would cost you cheaper there, but maybe you don't find a Bojan one... yet . well... www.fcbarcelona.com

I've heard of that website before. But a lot of people overseas that I've talked with have had problems ordering from them in the past. I tend to use U.S.-based websites when ordering Barca clothing. I mainly like to buy pullover thermals than shirts, but I'd like to get a Bojan shirt in a few years once he's given a 'regular' number. Youth players like Bojan and Giovani are usually given shirt numbers in the 20s/30s until they've become more established. Like Messi, who had 30 in 2006 but now wears 19. Iniesta recently switched from 24 to 8. Drogba wants out of Chelsea and lists (surprise) Real Madrid and Barcelona among those he'd like to join. Great striker, but he turns 30 in March.

That has been no problem to Real Madrid lately (Zidane, Figo, Beckham, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy...) and now even to Barça (Henry). And Lampard is just the same I guess. I think it's too late for Barça or Real Madrid to sign any of them... though they're fantastic, especially Lampard for me. I guess they will want a long contract with a high pay knowing they will not play so good in a couple of years... aka the retirement contract.... Henry, Cannavaro, Emerson, etc. So do you want me to ask for something to the shops here? I've been working only for 2 days... but I think they don't export and just sell on shops, but I'm not sure...

Oh, no thank you. I don't feel too comfortable having you asking a question when you've only just began working there and besides I really can't afford to buy anything at the moment. Ronaldinho's not even on the 18-man squad list against Villarreal. I suppose that's okay because he just returned after having played in Brazil on Wednesday night (early Thursday morning, Barcelona time) so he's probably very tired from the long flight. Save him for Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday. They say Bojan will likely start his first game in Villarreal.

Merseyside derby about to kickoff... Everton v Liverpool at Goodison. Who's Paul McCartney cheering for, I wonder... I've predicted 1-0 to Liverpool although I want Everton to win mainly cuz of Tim Howard. Have to support those American players, y'know. (I also have Lescott on my fantasy team Ooh, but I also have Finnan as well )

This time Villarreal's showtime instead of Barça. 3-1 The best thing for Barça is that Bojan was on the starting team... and scored. The goal was a classic smart striker goal, the "Raul goal".

Tamudo is the real 'Raul'.

Spain 3-0 Sweden Beautiful display against a quality side to cement qualification to EURO 2008! And done without Raul. Or Torres! The talent is there. Hopefully Aragones can make these boys produce the goods next summer.

Without kicking a ball, the unique English trait for brinkmanship rolled forward in it's own ubiquitous manner. With Isreal pulling off an unexpected 2 - 1 win against Russia at home yesterday the English teams hopes of qualifying for Euro 2008 returned once again into the teams own hands. England now require a win or draw on Wednesday at home against Croatia to progress. Whilst Croatia has already qualified, England can expect no favours as Croatia will remain top of the table (and be in pole position for a favourable group position next summer) if they win, draw, or avoid defeat by more than one goal. If England lose on Wednesday they would be dependant on Andorra beating Russia at home the same day and time - however as the minnow country of Andorra's part time team has lost all 11 group matches to date that is not a back up plan to depend upon. Cynics had conspiracy theories running at full tilt for the Isreal/Russia encounter as Russia has invested heavily in Isreali football with several entrepreneurs including Chelsea's Roman Ibrahimovic heavily involved and several Russian coaches working in the country. Conspiracists believed that with no chance of their own qualification Isreal would do their paymasters a favour by rolling over. However, in the great tradition of sport English fans were delighted to see they decided to play for honour pulling off a remarkable win in the 91st minute. Expect no sense out of the nation Wednesday Night, as the match is available on the BBC, so things will grind to a halt as we chew the covers off our armchairs as the final 90 minutes of qualification plays out. A quote from someone I chatted with on another website.
As an Englishman, I would be embarrased to claim a place at Euro 2008, after witnessing all the effort, determination, and spirit Scotland have displayed right throughout the campaign and to no avail, and should we sneak in through the backdoor there is no justice in football.

Well it happened. England failed to qualify being beaten 3-2 at home by Croatia. How do you play golf? Martin
