Well, you do favor style over results, correct? And if they played jogo bonito in those defeats, then you'd still enjoy those games, right? Regardless of whether they win or lose. I'm just repeating what you've told me.
21st Century Paul:
I've often desired Real Madrid to lose, because they don't deserve to win if they bore all the supporters...
21st Century Paul:
unclesox:
Since you're so much into talking about playing good football, which would you rather see Real Madrid do: Lift the trophy having played ugly football, or finish second place playing 'jogo bonito'?
Finish second place playing jogo bonito.
I don't think I'm misquoting you here.

I hate to say this but i got a feeling that Manchester United might win today and they will probably go top. Arsenal playing Aston villa - reckon it will be a difficult game as AV seem to be doing well this season and the Gunners are a striker down. So we'll probably go second... But that's football for you because you never know what is going to happen. A game full of surprises! Go Gunners - really hope you win today.
Go Reds! Villa usualy give the big 4 a hard time, I think the'll get the draw against Arsenal...
turned out I was right
How did you know it was going to be a draw? That's pretty impressive Man U won and so did Chelsea. But the Gunners are still top of the league!!!

Just a guess, I'm pretty good at those... I think Arsenal's bad recent games are because Fabregas hasn't been playing what he can, and he is the best Arsenal has so... Only for a while... I have a feeling that Chelsea is going to win this one, and I am a United fan!

Hello InTheSkyWithDiamonds Glad to hear that you are Man U fan - sorry if I offended you in the previous message. Chelsea could win but I think that Man U have a better chance as Chelsea are quite a way behind on points (I think) of the top spot. Mind you, anything can happen between now and May. I know that Arsenal and Man U are playing each other on 13th April and it is going to be a very exciting match to watch.

You didnt offend me at all, as a Internacional fan in Brazil, when I go to a game agains Gremio I nearly get hit in the head by a bag of poop, so I'm used to a lot of worse stuff ! I don't think its that many, its like 5 points or something, and Chelsea play Arsenal and United at home, they are nearly invincible there... : I think United wins the Champions League though

Yep, the FA too! I only watched the final of the League Cup because United was eliminated, so I dont blame ya...

But I didn't watch the games so I can only care about the result.

Not sure what you're trying to say there, but if you didn't watch the games you might have enjoyed this... Even here in the U.S., ESPN voted it #1 on SportsCenter (news show) as the best play of the weekend. Not bad considering it competed against American sports like NBA pro basketball, NCAA college basketball, NASCAR racing and baseball (which is now in its exhibition season). Of course, as great a goal as that was, my weekend was still ruined.
-
yeah, great goal, as I said Ronie is playing so bad as I see it, it's only the team. The match of Aguero will go down in history. Someone sign him before it's too late. I'm quoting myself... "Ok, even worse... 55 euro milions away... they could have signed almost anyone else... Cesc, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, mmm... Diego, Aguero, Villa, Iniesta? , Essien..." I think it's easy. They are gonna become the next greatest players. P.S. On Saturday I was on that disco, obviously no sign of Ronie after playing in Madrid instead in Barcelona... it was a good place to celebrate the future Liga again. So I did for some seconds. It's not a matter of logic, cause any League can be lost with so much points ahead, but it's a matter of intuition and I rarely fail on that.

When did you say that? Here on this thread? Those people you listed are already recognizable names. Give me some new names that I've never heard of. And I don't mean someone like Pato, whom everyone is already dubbing as the next great talent. Have you heard of either Ezequiel Lavezzi or Pablo Piatti?
-
No, I don't know those two you mention. My names are two pages back. Of course Aguero, etc are well-known, as Cesc, Kaka or Cristiano Ronaldo were then... but then was a good moment to sign them for Real Madrid still. I've played a World Cup with the game FIFA08 and I've lost in quarterfinals against England. 2-0 Two Rooney goals. Of course I was Spain, and again... in quarterfinals!... Besides all that... today is a great night for the world football... 4 great games, the Champions League (it's not a league, and it's not made of champions, so it's the European Cup really)... 1/8 finals.
-
barcelona vs celtic glasgow it should be easy for Barça, maybe they score 7 or so. Or if they have a bad night they can't score the first one, but they don't need it anyway. Rumours are... Milito is ill with fever, Thuram will play instead. Deco will play and Iniesta not. Maybe Henry would not play and Ronie, Etoo and Messi will. Rijkaard seems to choose the veterans of the team for decisive matches. So Deco instead of Iniesta. sevilla vs fenerbahce Sevilla lost 3-2 but I guess they will be much better than Fenerbahce... Capel is doing great games lately. Manchester Utd. vs lyon that should be a great attacking game... the reds should be aware of benzema and the old juninho free kicks... giggs could not play but Cristiano Ronaldo and Rooney are supposed to score anyway. Milan vs Arsenal This is supposed to be the "best match", thought it can be boring if Milan wants to. I guess Gattuso will take care of Cesc, and Pirlo and especially possibly the best player in the world now, Kaka, will lead Milan. A way to stop Kaka? He could do great passes anyway.
-
I think Milan gets an easy win... Things for United are going to be hard, but the'll get through.. It wont be THAT easy for Barcelona, but they will take it...
-
It has been easy for Barça... though kind of boring. Barcelona 1-Glasgow 0 But the saddest part for Barça is the Messi injury. The same injurement of Christmas repeated... Messi left the field crying a lot. Sevilla 3-Fenerbahce 2 And Fenerbahce won on penalties. I didn't expect them to be so good. I've been fascinated with Alex what a defensive midfielder, he defends anything and plays the balls like an offensive one. Quite like Zico, his coach... time will tell if he will be similar to Zico or Beckenbauer ... I've been impressed. An Aurelio did a lot of superb passes a la Laudrup. Manchester 1-Lyon 0 All I know is that Cristiano Rolando scored a fantastic goal. It seems simple but for me is very brilliant, other player would have just shot. Milan 0 - Arsenal 2 The big match. Milan's catenaccio ended with a tremendous goal of Fabregas and then the easier second one. Arsenal Barcelona Manchester and Fenerbahce to quarterfinals. The Messi injury is what I hate about football... agression is part of it. That happens even in a local league... many people don't want to play cause they know they're gonna receive all kinds of kicks if they dribble. That's why I didn't like to dribble I think... my last bicicle dribbling (a la Robinho) ended with a kick. Then I did it again... then they did it again... and there was no football anymore.

Acctualy Alex is an offensive midfielder, just as Zico was, but really no way to compare them both, Zico is the best player I've ever seen, better then Maradona, in my opinion... :
