What Really Happens When a Singing Voice Gets Old http://www.vulture.com/2016/10/mysteries-of-the-aging-voice.html Do these singers really perform the songs the way fans remember them? The high notes are compared, indicated by corresponding notes on a keyboard. Roger Daltrey of The Who: "Won't Get Fooled Again" C#5 up to E5 Bob Dylan" "All Along the Watchtower" G4 down to E4 Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones: "Sympathy for the Devil" G5 down to E4 Paul McCartney: "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five" E5 down to C5 Neil Young: "After the Gold Rush" A4 down to G4 Roger Waters: "Run Like H--l" B4 down to A4

I wonder if Kate Bush still has her weird, high singing voice. Probably. Sounds real cute on her version of "Rocket Man" especially.

Rather often I find out about new singers, look them up on YouTube and they don't sound nearly as good as reported. It's not that common to have a unique really fantastic singing voice, is it?

This fellow hasn't done too badly (forty or fifty something)

It's only a cover (orgina instruments) _ who knows how long it took? Still impressive:

          Oh! Darling
