I'm thinking some of the food for the Wedding Dinner hosted by Prince Charles will come from the sustainable farm at Dumfries House http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/oct/25/farming-ecosystems-prince-charles maybe lamb and asparagus which is in season
McVitties has been employed to do some of the food I saw on Food Network. you know the McVitties buscuits and wafers. we use to get them here, not so much anymore.

this is soo Exciting here. to see the Bake shop, and how they are catering this Stupendous Affair, would be really wonderful to get my hands into that flour mixture, to create a most Beautiful design, would be such A THRILL for me to help cater . I luv catering, soo much(Intensive) Labor is envolved here. I bet the cakes should be around 5 Grand to make these Special Cakes! it would take about 12 weeks or prepp work to get this done to Specifications! I can't wait to see the Gowns and the Hats! has anyone got a web site about the gowns and how they are doing behind the scenes? I hope the "WEDDING GOWN" is filled with Taffeta, Lace ,Satin and Pearls sewn into the Fabric. and can be reduced to a fine evening Gown for her to wear for Special Occasions. wouldn't it be soo nice, to see REAL FLOWERS on the Gown too?? little Lillies of the Valley? daintily sewn on their soo small?? I Luv the smell of those Fabrics, Satin Lace and Veils! would love to see how they eventually made it sometime! what Creative Inspirations it must be to be involved in this Undertaking! anyone got a Video of this all?? has it been Determined who will do the "DRESS"??? I Hope Stella Got the Call!

Well...this'll give me an excuse to be up (or stay up) at 4 a.m. Friday, anyways, to try to access the 'wedding stream' on the MSNBC website. I don't get to have t.v. presently 'cause I can't keep the digital t.v. box thingie working. It kept messing up, so I gave up. But if I happen to be sleeping real good...I'd rather sleep!

Our TV is all over it today, Yeserday was rehearsals for the troops, carriages, horses etc - all done in the dead of night to avoid nuisance. Then the choral rehearsals - no details published. Kate and William and all principals this morning - done already I believe: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13215503 Flowers arriving, - whole trees apparently - 3 - 5 M high apparently a whole avenue down the aisle..... Order of Service due to be released in a couple of hours. Dress and designer remains a closed secret - and probably won't be revealed until she steps out of her temporary quarters to make the short journey to the Abbey. Showers - some heavy- forecast sadly, despite chosing a day that hasn't had rain in last 10 years or so. More later I suspect Don't forget the BBC web-pages: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11767495

Now I'm not advocating betting in any form but it's too delighful to overlook this aspect of the wedding: http://www.paddypower.com/bet/novelty-betting/novelty-bets/royal-wedding-specials Markets Offered: Designer of Kate's wedding dress Wedding Dress Colour Length of Kate's Train What Tiara Will Kate Wear? Designer of Kate's Evening Dress Colour of Queens Hat What titles will the couple take? How late is Kate? Aisle Music Sermon Betting - First Cliché

More on the trees: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13205293 Apparently the floral arrangements are based, wherever possible on growing, live, plants rather than cut flowers -
Westminster Abbey will be adorned with seasonal flowers, shrubs and trees, mainly sourced from royal estates, for the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. An avenue of trees lining the aisle and leading to the altar will be the main feature of the display, which is based around growing rather than cut plants, in line with Kate's desire that the decorations be sustainably sourced.
Hymns have been announced: Love Divine All Loves Excelling Guide Me Now Oh Great Redeemer Jerusalem So start rehearsing your sing-along now Martin

so you think they will show the Guest list? Paul is on their correct? will he be in TAILS? WOW! I can't wait to see him go inside the Church. what will Nancy wear? shoes and dress OHH MY! I shall be excited to see Paul and Nancy. what a Wonderful Couple they make! perhaps Nancy will wear a Blue Hat?? and Paul will wear Blue Handkerchief to match Nancy's Blue hat with Veil and Purse?? Blue would be Paul's fav color! and is Paul mentioned in the Program as the Entertainment anywhere?? their are three Dance venues that are being set up by Cate's sister. in the Palace I guess. she put in 1970's Disco Crystal Balls in the ceilings. will look very cool? 19 hours and holding!! I hope Stella is the DRESS DESIGNER! Stella Looked Fabulous at Madonna's Wedding!! remember her hat and Veil over the peach hat? and What A Brilliant Dress she wore!! she looked Stunning!! and I do not impress easily! I love the smell and feel of the Veils and Taffeta and Silk and Satin! Ladies you know what I am talking about right??
-
Paul has not been mentioned as a celebrity guest. Elton John and David Beckham and family have so the list is public and Paul would have got a mention by now. The wedding performers are choir, orchestra and trumpets - very traditional. The have been no announcements of performers at the private functions that follow. I suspect Paul will be enjoying it on TV like us. Stella is not on the bookmakers shortlist of dress designers so it would be a complete surprise in fashion circles if she did get the dress. Martin

really? I thought Paul was Performing at the wedding Reception?? one of the after parties?? some thread I read said he was to perform?? No Stella awe gee
-

You are right in that there were posts reporting press speculation that aul might perform at some time or another. It was not just wishful thinking on the part of some fans here. But nothing has surfaced to back up that rumour. The publication of the order of service yesterday confirmed there are no celebrity performances as part of the wedding service - the stars are William and Catherine. But if you're watching the BBC broadcast there'll be loads to watch and chat about, the BBC is sure to have a fashionista or two on hand to comment on dresses and hats as the guests arrive. Martin

Morning Martin You are up very early! Enjoy the wedding and festivities!
-
So the weddings at 11:00? I was wondering why my paper was saying that they were getting married at 0600 AM? It seemed awfully early!! I thought maybe that was a British custom that I hadn't heard about
-
They're getting married?!?!? Why didn't I hear about this?!? It is all over the news ..... even here in the U.S.A.
-
so, republicans think that it is the same time every where that they are?

So the weddings at 11:00?
Here's the BBC schedule of events: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13097243 Their broadcast kicks off at 08.00 local time. Here's a link to a time converter for your local time: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/convert_time_in_GB.aspx?y=2011&mo=4&d=29&h=8&mn=0 Events scheduled to finish with a Royal Air Force flypast with the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at 13.30 hrs. After that their celebrations move indoors for private functions in the afternoon and an evening event later. So 5.5 hours start to finish for the major broadcast. Having said that the BBC News Channel is already on the Mall amongst the overnighters who have been camping several days now for good position. I've just popped out to an all-night store for the last items for a morning buffet while the events take place. Later in the afternoon, weather permitting, barbeque in the garden. Martin

Next deadline: 08.00 hrs will be the time when the Queen may announce any titles the couple may be given by her on the occasion of their wedding. Something is likely as the default title for Catherine would be: Princess William Of Wales No-one expects her to adopt that handle - let alone the rest of the nation. Dukedoms are often given at this time and the bookmakers had the following titles listed: Duke & Duchess of Cambridge 4/7 Prince & Princess William 5/2 Duke & Duchess of Clarence 7/2 Duke & Duchess of Monmouth 4/1 Duke & Duchess of Sussex 11/2 Duke & Duchess of Connaught 10/1 Duke & Duchess of Windsor 14/1 Duke & Duchess of Kendal 16/1 it's widely speculated some title allowing her to use the title Princess Catherine officially may be given. I'll let you know when the announcement is made. Martin
