I wonder if maybe we could share photos or stories about our Dads? Share memories or tell about hobbies or something happy? Just a thought.

Nancy, was sorry to hear about your loss. You're lucky you got to have him with you for a very long time, I sure wish mine could have made it that long. Sometimes I still get shocked and dumbfounded that both my parents are gone, now, but the shock decreases with time and you can smile at the memories, which are so precious.

I am going through lots of my Dad's things that I was able to save from my former home. It can be fun to do, and sad at the same time. We can get our memories together and share. Nancy that is neat your Dad collected stamps.😀

I have to write a short biography about my Dad for a project due in the next 24 hours. I have been putting it off as even after almost 35 years it is so hard, and I have to get the words correct. Even after all these years it still gets me. On the other hand I have had nice dreams of my Dad and my deceased dogs saying "hello." You are still, and will continue to be, in my thoughts and prayers Nancy!❤️🌟 Hi (((veggieburgher)))! 😀

I could never do a biography on a relative. Maybe a distant relative I never met. It would be much easier to do some vague historical figure.

Nancy sent you a msg in the other thread. Kittay, that's a great idea about our Dads. When mine died, I couldn't look at a photo for about 8 years without crying. Still miss him so much!!! One happy memory about my Dad, is that he loved trains. He had a large Lionel train collection, set up on a large plywood board, which he painted white and then let all of his children crayon paint the scenery around the tracks on the board. He was the biggest kid, when we all played with the trains!! He got right down with us and was a really fun imaginative Dad...

I believe that too! It is just as real as when I am awake. Lovely experience. I treasure each and every communication.❤️ My Dad collected record albums and books. His books he would read and give them to others to read or trade them at bookstores. His record albums were sacred objects! My Dad turned me onto all music. I remember when I was about 10 or 11 years old. He asked me,"did I want to hear a cool song?" I was like "sure." Then through his 3 foot tall custom made speakers blasted, "Another Brick In The Wall," Pink Floyd. And the last months of his life he was running out on Saturday mornings to find Beatles albums for me. Great memories! 😀🌟❤️

I'm fine, thanks for asking. Back to work this Thurs. & Fri. I got called in at 2 am Fri. going into Sat. to be trauma backup when the in-house team was going to do a case, but the man died in ICU. (which is where my dad passed away) I brought my laptop in and just decided to stay around rather than get called back in if they have to do another case. They are paying us time & a half to sit around and do nothing just in case a trauma comes in!
