Why do some people who claim they are so super intelligent sometimes act like the biggest idiots?
Cool story here as to why he did that! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Einstein_in_popular_culture

If you want to know who the smartest person in the room is, it's never the person who claims to be the smartest in the room.
Are we supposed to be talking about our President like this?
You beat me to it!

Good thing, very good... Enjoyed the Wiki on Einstein... That is a great photo! Same idea with the Rembrandt drawing... http://hyperallergic.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/RvR-Selfportrait1.jpg https://hyperallergic.com/127726/morgan-library-puts-hundreds-of-rembrandt-etchings-online/

Randomly ran into a woman at he doctors office today... She had a NASA t-shirt on, so of course I had to question her about it. She said her super brilliant friend who got 100% on his SAT's and graduated in the top of his class at Harvard... and who works at NASA, is fearful of losing his job. Apparently there have been drastic cuts, with the new administration, ( well, it is a science field and they also do climate studies) Apparently, the new flat Earth society has finally found a home, in the "new" let's move the planet Earth, backwards through history. This would then make sense for walls, just like in the olden days, we can build a gigantic castle around our country, to fight off the soldiers attacking with bows and arrows, and on horseback even !! I do really like those fancy dresses they wore back then, but I sure hope we will not outlaw indoor plumbing. Just in case...remember, if anyone asks...the Sun circles the Earth... And not the other way around. The Christian inquisitors may throw you in jail for the wrong answer. Have had a few Facebook requests from that ilk, and heard that another guy had a FB request from the VP!! They may be planning to cut off our internet soon, if things keep heading in the direction that they are heading... Soon we will all be living in an alternate fact fairy tale...

When I visit California I am going to visit the Rosicrucian Park and surrounding sites in San Jose. Looks very beautiful.

I've wondered the same, Love2 Travel. A friend needs to visit family there, the cost is prohibitive.

I'm thinking that I should really go, yet I can't believe the plane fare which is very high...and for sure I'll have to do air b n b if I do go. Will have to bring peanut butter and jelly and a loaf of bread the good thing about air b n b is that they usually have a kitchenette.
-
Have you had good luck witu air b n b?
-
Yes, have had very good luck with air b n b. I rented a studio with a new kitchenette and bathroom, sleeps 4. It was in one of those big white houses in Kensington, that had been divided into studios. It was right down the street from the hotel I usually stay in. I stayed with two friends for abou ?35 a night each. The hotel is usually ?80 a night each. We bought some food for our well stocked kitchen, and were in the neighborhood that I usually stay in, by the tube station. I don't need someone to cook my breakfast or a fancy lobby and bar with overpriced drinks!! We had a blast, with all the money we saved we went to shows every night! We even met Richard Tandy from ELO in the local Waitross down the street!!! I highly recommend air b n b and friends of mine also love it. There are well priced little studios in Norway, lots of choices. You need to book in advance though.

I will definitely look into that when I do my UK trip. Sounds much better than, as you say, a regular B&B. I would not eat breakfast there anyway. Can fend for myself, like you. Sounds perfect!

Thinking the Old Irish doctor was right.
-
Still haven't quite gotten over the shock of our next door neighbor's sudden passing this week. She was only 37. Robin had called for an ambulance 'cos she had fallen for no apparent reason art all. Ambulance got there & she decided she was feeling better & sent them away. Apparently she had been falling for some time & each time called for an ambulance & sent them away. Don't know the details if it was a blood clot or an aneurysm but if she had taken care of herself when it first started, she may have saved her own life. We didn't know her very well as she was never really friendly or sociable. So sad.

I just noticed that I have nearly the same number of posts as I have miles on my car. (You won't believe this, but my car is a 2011 model that I bought new in October 2010!)

I was gonna say that you don't venture far from home but I know that is far from the truth. You just don't use your car to do it! Mine was bought new in 2012 & has 64,000.

I wonder if my newest bear will arrive in the post on Monday?

I just contributed some queries to N.Y.Times Journalist Nick Kristoff's live feed...one was, is the Trump administration dangerously incompetent and we should be very worried? Got a bit paranoid, imagined some higher up in the administration reading that on Kristoff's page, gave me the heebie jeebies a bit. I don't suppose the FBI will take out a dossier on me for asking that, LOL. POTUS is certainly aware of the massive ubiquitous trepidation about him and his cohorts especially with riots and protests breaking out all the time. So much harsh criticism rains down on him all the time. It's good his every word and action get pounced on and parsed.

Suffering a severe headache due to a wisdom tooth gone bad, and being pulled tomorrow. Wondering if I will be losing some of my wisdom!?
