Why Martin...thank you so kindly... I see now that I must have fallen asleep and the last thing I remembered was the Doctor smashing windows and throwing the treasures overboard... I missed quite a bit

Look out for a new feature this season. On the web-site they are showing a prequel scene for the upcoming episode: Not the usual teaser trailer seen before shows and often put at the end of each episode but a specially filmed seperate scene. Each one runs whatever length they deem neccesary the first was 1.55 min the next 1.30 m. And build nicely on the tension/anticipation. I can't see if they are available on the BBC America site as I'm blocked from seeing their content: http://videos.bbcamerica.com/category/27982471001/Doctor-Who/836176502001/Season-6/
Sorry that you are blocked from seeing the video content on BBCA - we are indeed receiving the prequels. Very pleased that the Insider clips shown during weekly episodes are being continued as well. Much to our delight, after the airing of Day of the Moon, a one hour Insider, very much like your Confidential aired.

LOVED tonight's episode, The Doctor's Wife...she is clearly the Doctor's soulmate! Amy: "Did you wish really hard?" More tomorrow on this episode and the three prior episodes - we are LOVING this season!
-
I love her insistance that is was she stole away with him from Gallifrey at the outset of the Dr Who stories rather than his belief he took her. And she confirmed our long belief that she takes him, not where he wants to go, but rather where he's needed most. Explaining how such a person as the Doctor can find so much trouble all the time. Watching it again now on iPlayer Martin

Great show... great season, but what is the thread running throughout? Like the crack last season? Haven't seen one..

Great show... great season, but what is the thread running throughout? Like the crack last season? Haven't seen one..
There are several teasers running already.. Who is the little girl seen in the The Silence stories - who seems to be able to transform like a Time Lord? She must turn up again later. Who is the woman wearing a metallic eyepatch who keeps briefly checking on Amy through a hatch in doorways and/or walls, makes a comment about her and shuts the hatch which then fades away... What is Amy's pregnancy all about? The Tardis' medical scanner cannot make it's mind up if she's pregnant or not, flipping non-stop from Positive to Negative results. Amy seems decided she's not - at the moment. And the perennial mystery of River Pond's relationship to The Doctor: Why does she seem so happy to live in a prison, which she seems to be able to leave at will. The need to synch diaries with The Doctor - yet she still got her time-lines wrong when she kissed him expecting him to be familar and welcoming with her approach - only to find him startled by being kissed by her for the first time. And why is she good at piloting the Tardis in a manner much better than The Doctor? Enough for the time being? Martin

LOL Thanks so much Martin... you have a such a succinct way with words. Perfect! I missed some of that the first time around and will have to go back and revisit. I did wonder about Amy and the baby but missed the part about the pregnancy test!! Last year was my first year, so I think I was looking for something like a "crack" again!!

Character lines for Rory are developing quite nicely... Last week's episode, The Doctor's Wife - Rory: "Because, killing us quickly wouldn't be any fun, and you need fun, don't you? You need someone to make suffer - I had a PE teacher just like you!" Tonight's episode, The Rebel Flesh - Rory: "Welcome to my world!" My children roared with laughter when Arthur delivered this line...absolutely brilliant!!! Definitely need to watch tonight's episode again - a lot happening with this one. Sadly, old habits die hard...we will have to wait until 4th June to see episode 6, The Almost People due to Memorial Day weekend.

For once and for all, I think i would be a great idea if they did a flashback episode of DW where the 11th Doctor would tell what led to and happened during The Last Great Time War. Cast Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston to reprise their roles as the 8th and 9th Doctors, Timothy Dalton as Rassilon. Rebuild the TARDIS set from the 1996 DW movie. Show the events of what led to and happened during and after The Last Great Time War. And then show the Doctor's regenerating from the 8th to his 9th self and how the TARDIS interior got redesigned from the movie to the 9th/10th Doctors' TARDIS. And then to conclude, what brought him to Earth involving The Nestene Consciousness in the episode "Rose" that re-launched the series. This episode would bridge the 1996 DW telly movie to the current series.

TO BE CONTINUED WOW!!!!!! Cannot wait until next week!!!

Question regarding the Cybermen: Since DW returned to the airwaves in 2005, a newly redesigned Cybermen from a parallel universe have been shown via John Lumic in 2006. In the series one episode, "Dalek", they show a classic Cybermen head in a showcase in Henry van Statten's alien museum. There has never been any reference an/or appearance of the original Cybermen from the planet Mondas (accept for an appearance of the mask or two). Were they somehow wiped out in a battle or galatic catastrophe? Have they kept quiet all this time? Were they somehow written out? There's been no mention of what happened to them. Or could we see the classic Cybermen reappear again? Could we see a faceoff of Classic Cybermen vs. New Cybermen? Or Classic Cybermen and New Cybermen joing forces to fight the Daleks?
