Hi Tat Some of our friends recieived a ticket from Crowdsurge, which seemed to have sent it from FRANCE ?????. http://deai.mokuren.ne.jp/up/src/up5475.jpg I hope that it will soon arrive at my place and yours too. Sincerely, Koichi

Koichi san, thanks for the info. Via France to Janan and the ticket seems to be printed in Japan. Very strange. I hope I can get mine soon.

Found a useful photo reference on how the floor seating in Tokyo Dome is like. I'll be seated at C section...I feel sooo far away from the stage
-
I just received a VIP package envelop today. Enclosed is just an explanatory letter without any actual ticket inside. Looks like I will pick up a ticket at the venue. Until then, there is no way to know from which block or section I will see the show. Koichi

Anyone knows how many rows of people will be in each section? Like how many rows for A and B?

Similarly, I was wondering whether it's OK to take food in? If anyone knows and could post the answer here, that would be great!

No camera policy has been already announced for every show except for the first 15 mins of Sound Check, which would be allowed only with non proffesional camera. Koichi

I opted for the 'standard post' option, so I wasn't able to get tracking details. Could probably be 2-3 days so will update again by the end of the week or as soon as it arrives

You can bring in food and beverage but you must buy beverage in the PAPER cup or in the PAPER package. Plastic or glassed bottle is strictly prohibited. The ticket collectors or security guys see if you have it, they would gently confiscate it or at least ask you to throw it away. You can buy food and beverage inside the venue. But the shop is very crowded and food a bit expensive. On your way to the venue from the nearest station you will see several small venders selling foods and paper packaged beverages. You can buy from those venders or the convenient stores nearby for regular prices. There is something I should warn you about eating inside the venue. Usually Japanese audience does not eat the meal on their seats. They will take them out outside of the performance area and eat it on the alley where the eating section is set up for . After you finish the meal, the smell of the foods lingers on. Not everyone enjoy the smell of French fry during the live concert. That?s just my two cents. Koichi

Thanks Koichii-san, that is VERY useful information. Just to clarify some info: 1. Camera: Will my compact camera be confiscated by security upon entering the venue or its okay as long as I didn't use it during the performance. 2. Banners: Is it allowed to bring poster or bunting? Or should I do the Japanese way of uchiwa and glowsticks? 3. Drinks: Can I have some sips of drinks from paper beverage during the performance without going to the alley? 4. Jackets: Will it be cold at the venue, you think? I'm coming from warm climate country and never been in Tokyo in Nov, so not sure how cold/warm it will be in the packed venue.

Hi Koichi, Thank you very much for your detailed reply! I really appreciate the etiquette information. I would not want to behave rudely. In Australia, it is normal to eat and drink in your seat at a concert so I would not have known this otherwise! I will definitely do it the Japanese way.

Hi Let me answer your questions one by one. 1. Camera: Will my compact camera be confiscated by security upon entering the venue or its okay as long as I didn't use it during the performance. They would not buy an I-will-not-use-it-during ?the-show excuse. When the security finds out you try to bring a camera in upon entering the venue, they will gently ask you to go to the designated section to hand it over there. They will keep it during the show and return it to you when it is over. If you beat the security at the entrance but are busted during the performance, they will ask you to erase the date but would not double check it. Not many but surely some of the audience take a picture of the performer at the rock concerts in Japan. Usually they take it out and snap it quickly without drawing much attention from the security. 2. Banners: Is it allowed to bring poster or bunting? Or should I do the Japs way of uchiwa and glowsticks? If you watch the show from the grand floor seat, I strongly recommend you should not hoist the poster above your head. I don?t know how tall you are but it will surely block the view of the people behind you. Most of Japanese audience would not appreciate it? But if you see the show from the stand floor area, you are good with banners because it is highly unlikely to bother anybody behind you. Oh, just one more thing, please do not use the word ?Jap?. That sounds nothing but derogatory to me. 3. Drinks: Can I have some sips of drinks from paper beverage during the performance without going to the alley? Sometimes they let you but sometime they don?t. It depends on the show organizer??. It might sound strange to you but the most convenient and the safest container of drinks is definitely plastic one. But security would not allow you to bring in a plastic bottle of drinks because it could be thrown away at the performer. Paper cup is the best for the concert organizer but not for the audience. You might spill it all over. That would be a quite nuisance for everyone around you. If you drink it up, chances are you will go to the bathroom more often than you should. So what I would suggest is you should buy a smallest plastic bottle of your favorite drinks. Tug it inside your pockets and sip it during the show. The smallest plastic bottle is pretty tiny; http://thumbnail.image.rakuten.co.jp/@0_mall/itemjapan/cabinet/image3/4902102067003.jpg?_ex=400x400&s=2&r=1 4. Jackets: Will it be cold at the venue, you think? I'm coming from warm climate country and never been in Tokyo in Nov, so not sure how cold/warm it will be in the packed venue. It is cold November in Tokyo. Tokyo Dome is pretty big. There is no way to be packed enough to make you feel warm. You should bring your winter clothes. If you want to buy it here in Japan, I would recommend that you should buy winter cloth at Uniqlo. IMO but these are the best buy. http://www.uniqlo.com/jp/ Actually there is one Uniqlo shop very close to Tokyo Dome http://fr.mapion.co.jp/map/uc/PoiInfo?vo=mbml&grp=uniqlo&kencode=13&eki=%25%E6%B0%B4%E9%81%93%E6%A9%8B%25&poi_code=10100673 Hope that you will have a great time in my country. Hi Koichi, Appreciate your detailed and thorough answers from my previous questions. I can't thank you enough for time writing this. Greatly appreciated and my sincerest apologies for the using the word above. Was intended for abbreviation, had no idea its a no-no. Thats very ignorant of me, I should've known better, I'm so so so sorry to offend you and others reading ops: ops: Hontoni gomenasai . Hope that sounds right. Cool, its good to know some of these rules first hand as this is my first time attending a musical concert/traveling alone to Japan. The last thing I want is to offend or not obeying the rules of the venue and not having anyone to correct me firsthand. I'll be on floor seat probably will just stick to smallest object like uchiwa or poster, less bigger than my small body. I'm just a scrawny, short girl ops: Ahh, alright I guess Nov is closer to winter so I'll just bring my down jacket then. Agreed, Uniqlo's the best esp. the heat tech items. Apologies again, Koichi-san (still hitting myself hard on this). Can't wait for the 'beautiful night' especially at a wonderful city like Tokyo, its going to a blast Thank you again

Hi viroze No offense taken. Please do not worry Please feel free to ask me anything and everything you want to know before you come to Japan. I will attend Nov 11th, 12nd (Osaka), 15th(Fukuoka), and 21st(Tokyo) shows. Take it easy Koichi
