Those are great, Rick! Thank you very much!!! Oh Yea...still grinning! Tom
-
Rick, thank you so much!! It is always nice seeing you at the shows and getting to chat. The pictures are great and something we will always treasure.
-
Rick how great that you got it on film! That will be so cool to have the pics displayed with the shirts. HOW COOL!!!
-
Wow, what a GREAT story! Thanks for sharing with us, and CONGRATS to Father and Son. Paul is so much more relaxed on this tour and in such a great mood. Think back in the HM days, everything was very scripted and remember, he never did anything ad hoc or away from his script. On this tour he signing, bringing people up, and having a great time. When you were talking about you and your son, for some reason I was expecting a little boy... like 10 or so. LOL. This just proves that Paul DOESN'T always pick the 20's blondes as many accuse him of! Congrats again to BOTH OF YOU!!!! That's just AWESOME!!!!
-
Thanks, Jay Jay! Yes...reading all these posts on line, seems like most people Paul has brought up to the stage during this tour have been "younger fans". Being an original Beatles fan, yes I was 9 back in 1964, I am proud to be the elder member of this very fortunate group, and so happy to have shared it with my (2nd generation fan) son. Tom

Congratulations to you both... what an amazing experience. Great photos.

I am an original too.....I'm so happy you and your son got a chance to talk with Paul. Your pictures are great!! By the way...what did Paul say about your shirt?

Thanks for the newly added video Mark. That was also a very memorable day for dad and I also. Were very grateful that you were there to capture it!

Thanks, rubyblue...before signing (the shirt) he said how great it was that I had been to each of his tours (since '76).
-
I think it is very amazing and impressive that you have been to all of his tours since 1976. I wish I could say the same, but I was born in 1987. =( Lol. Congrats on your autograph... I'm sure it was one of the greatest moments of your life.
-
Thanks, CieBreeze...and welcome to the forum! Meeting Paul was an experience I'll never forget!! Funny thing is after the '76 tour with Wings, most fans were starting to feel that was the last time we'd be seeing Paul in concert. The way things happened, he didn't come back to the states for another 13 years! When he started touring again, we made a point to go every time. It seems that each of his tours has something special about it.

Not sure if I responded to this thread prior to this...but if not, many congrats . Btw, I know Paul was most likely busy and didn't keep you around too long for a lot of idle chat, but what was the mood like on his part - did he seem genuinely in a good mood while this was happening? Or was it more so 'let's keep things moving here'? I would assume if he was in a foul mood, he wouldn't have called you up...but just want to hear this account first hand:-) And that's a great pic...a keepsake forever:-)

Thanks, Rich....Paul couldn't have been nicer that day. Shaking our hands as we got on stage he immediately made us feel welcome...saying how nice it was that we saw so many of his tours. I don't believe he would have called us up if he was pressed for time. As you can imagine while you're up there your mind is going 1000 mph. I remember thinking...is this really happening? Thanks to Podgie (who took this photo) and Rick who also filmed it, I can say "yes" it really did.
-
Congratulations to you and your son! Glad you got some great photos. Paul's been on such a roll and glad to see him engage with so many great fans, especially those that have been around a while! Enjoy and bask in the memories.
