Windows 10

I am so sorry to hear about all of your concerns with Windows 10!!! Windows 10 turned out to be a real disappointment. I've even heard horror stories of many software not being compatible with Windows 10.

I received a message on my laptop the other day that I was eligible for the free upgrade and to reserve it so I clicked on the link. It told me not to do anything until I received another message to download it With all the problems people seem to be encountering I don't want to download it. I hope I'm not committed. I'm hoping that I can just ignore the next message when it asks me to upgrade. I already have a hijacked site on my goggle chrome by trovia???? which I can't seem to get rid of no matter how times I've tried. (That's why I do everything from my iPhone. )
-
Ok. As I am typing this I received a message on my laptop stating that my upgrade is now available. I just "x"-ed it out. I checked my operating system and found out I have windows 8.1; which I will stay with. Now if I can figure out how to get rid of that hijacker!

A lot of people live in the clouds already, so that will work out.

Is this a parody of Blue Jay Way? I don't get it. I know a lot of people are simply mean on the internet. I'm not trying to be mean. I just don't get it.

A lot of people don't get it HaileyMcComet, you're not the only one. As for Windows 10, I don't see this operating system lasting very long either!! Take care.

You were talking about clouds which made me think of the song lyric. I don't think of the song as being mean. I don't think of anyone's criticism of Windows 10 as being mean either.

I took the leap - a computer local repair shop installed Windows 10 (who had a disk) It seems fine ... Since I had so much music, pictures ... I'm left with the task of updating that ... I'm a little upset ... it seems fine otherwise. I'll keep you all updated

Did they give you a copy of that disk?

The mean part was me asking the question. A lot of people assume any question online is an attack. I was just trying to point out that it was merely a question.

Did the local computer shop charge you to install Windows 10? Because if you ever need to do a recovery, you need to go back to that local computer shop and have them reinstall Windows 10. They should have given you a copy of that disk seeing that the disk has a product key. The local computer shop probably wants to charge you later. Lets see what happens, please keep me informed. Take care.

Good point, I do plan on purchasing a copy ... they didn't charge me for the update ... they did other work.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium which is absolutely fine for my needs. I've never had any problem with it. As the old saying goes,'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

I would go back to the local computer shop and request a copy of Windows 10 even though you have already requested it. They should have given you a disk copy of Windows 10 upon your request. Please keep me informed, take care.

Hi kestrel!! How are you? I hear you, I got rid of Windows 10, I did a recovery and went back to Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows 7 Ultimate works perfectly for me. Take care.

DH's computer is finally cleared out of Windows 10 issues. I keep getting that stupid pop up box with "Time is running out. Reserve your Free Download of Windows 10 now." I just close it out & say a few choice words & laugh.
-
I don't see any reason to change my computer to Windows 10, but then I was always like that for all the other new versions. As long as the computer is working, I'm happy.
