Still reading Mysterious Benedict Society but I'm about to see if I can print out my NaNoNovel to see if I can maybe possibly hopefully start editing. I'd hate to have to do it on the computer. Much easier to note it all and go back... Oh, and reading chapter 6 section 4 in my Algebra textbook. That's great fun...

Just started on "Your Phone Bill" by B.T. its a depressing tome, and far too long. I recently found a copy of John Cooper Clarke's poetry anthology "Ten Years In An Open Necked Shirt" in a charity shop for a quid, which is brilliant to have as a book. Just to get back on track...

Lately, being busy with all the holiday stuff, I barely get to pick up where I left off on any of the 3 books I'm currently reading. In fact, I'm lucky if I get a chance to glance at any of the mags & catalogs that are piling up.

the contemporary british fiction book i mentioned i'm reading is 'a spot of bother' by novelist mark haddon. it's funny-- tinged with black humor type funny. haddon is also the author of 'the curious incident of the dog in the night-time' i'd like to read. am reading the current issue of 'vanity fair' with meryl streep on the cover. i haven't quite finished the second elaine pagels book on 'the gnostic gospels,' it isn't the kind of book you can read quickly. in fact, if my reading material is scintillating and pithy, i prefer to go slowly, savoring each word, i love words -- i adore them
