Richard Ellman's biog of James Joyce. I think Joyce is pretty much as I'd expect from reading about him on wiki and here and there although when he goes off on one about something he's really weird for e.g when somone says they don't find his music chapter in Ulysses better than real music he get's anonied!!!

Still poring over the Steve Jobs biography now and then, more interested in finishing it now since the novel I last read was "A Regular Guy" by his sister Mona Simpson which was loosely based on Jobs' life up until he was ousted from Apple that time. Her novel is an absorbing, intriguing read that casts a spell and I was sorry to see it end. Jobs reportedly fell out with Simpson for a while after her book was published, and I can see why. It's cool he made up with her and forgave her or whatever. It shows he was a lot more open minded in some areas than people think. You can't expect a genuis to behave like "everybody else," but he could be hard to take sometimes.
